I’ve spent the afternoon at HMP Northumberland, so good to be able to rededicate the chapel after being closed due to building issues. A joyful service and so good to welcome staff, chaplains, some of the men, and many from surrounding parishes 🙏🏽🫶✝️

St Oswald’s story not only reaches into Northumbria, it is also part of Mercia’s story (Oswestry). It was so good to be joined by the Bishop of Lichfield on our walk yesterday. A merry band of pilgrims (and four-legged companions) journeyed from Hexham Abbey to Heavenfield 🙏🚶♀️🐕✝️🎶

June 20th is known in our household as ‘Katy Perry day’ commemorating the day Myles randomly met KP in Harris Manchester chapel, Oxford) in 2018 and played the organ for her (settle down folks, PIPE organ) 😂🎶
Sadly it was not to be. I got 5 miles north of Byrness and was pulled off the course (along with 7 others) as our timings weren’t on target. Gutted but honestly I had the most amazing adventure and have the most enormous respect for the Spine family. What an adventure and what a privilege 🙏💕
