Still sad that I didn’t grow to 5’7” so that I had the opportunity to join the Rockettes. Book trade chica. Trying to understand this world and how to make things better for people. Maybe making Kate Bush and Dolly Parton world leaders would work
Pic taken by my sister at Westgarth Cinema (formerly the Valhalla) I’m curtsying. The funny thing is she was trying to take a pic of pigeons who were coming to the movies when I arrived
Amidst all of the sadness today, I just bought a sofa bed that Wacket (and me - it’s soooo comfy) absolutely approves of
Joe Jackson is coming to Melbs in February next year. Given the state of the world I’m loath to book a ticket this far ahead
#kitchendancing on a chilly night to Jim Steinman’s Rock ‘n Roll Dreams Come through , while cooking fishfingers #noapologies and when you really need it the most that’s when rock and roll dreams come through, for you
Six years since I saw a southern Boobook owl in my front yard haven’t seen one since, but such a magical moment when during the lockdowns I really needed it

Met Sebastian Olma 10 years ago, must see what his thoughts are now theconversation.com/in-defence-o...
Got a new home printer to print (mostly) my photographs, because increasingly worried that these memories may get lost in some tech billionaire’s fever dream. Anyway, wound up waxing lyrical about the Brother printer to the chop shop man. Printed my first photo from Venice
Had to make a childhood favourite tonight - Keene’s Curry baked rice with snossages.
Watching Ann Edmondson and Kitty Flanagan’s Bad Company, and their prop room has my dresser! Albeit without stickers from being multi-purposed over the last 30 odd years
I finally had the hand printed on handmade paper print that I bought in Venice framed
Come join me!! It’s the best fun ever and a very inclusive event. Save the date!
It looked like such a sweet little bird until… From Wikipedia - They get their name from their habit of impaling captured prey on a thorn, tree fork, or crevice.
I am supremely happy with this dish - artichoke hearts, fried halloumi, French capers, some lemon and parsley and linguine with a bit of Parmesan grated over the top
The loquat tree in the backyard is covered in blossom, and the humming of bees has been glorious. I love how it does this in autumn rather than spring. Hoping its fruit last long enough for the fruit bats and possums
One of the most perfectly designed book covers ever - if you know, you know
So weeding out the children’s books and came across this from 2006, @louiestowell.bsky.social how the world has changed. This book is part text, part comic. It’s the marketing plans that blow my mind, and I don’t think any of it took off
I’ve moved my kids book collection, and have been weeding out the ones I don’t want, while at the same time falling in love again with the ones I want
