Beautiful Small Tortoiseshell butterfly on buddleja today. #BigButterflyCount
Seeing plenty of these guys around but not enough yet for a #BigButterflyCount.

Beautiful Small Copper and Small Tortoiseshell butterflies at Cae Hir Gardens today. @savebutterflies.bsky.social
Now is as good a time as any to down tools (well, mowers) and feel good about it as you leave the dandelions as first food for bees and other insects that need nectar now. Join the #NoMowMay campaign - if you can’t bear the thought of an unmanicured lawn, at least keep some sizeable patches uncut!
