Forgot to post this last week, but the Pokemon Go 10th anniversary event was hands down the best event the game has ever had. I was able to level up, as well as get and evolve so many Pokemon I haven’t been able to so far… including *every* Unown. Good stuff! #pokemon #pokemongo #shinypokemon
Saw the new Keroro Gunso movie this weekend. It was kinda long and I wish the finale had crazier sakuga, but otherwise it was funny and cool to see the whole cast again after so many years. The character designs were reworked to be closer to the manga which was neat.

New Berserk chapter at long last! The “To Be Continued” page says another chapter is coming in a couple weeks! (We’ll see if that ends up being true or not 😅)

Just watched the trailer for the new Keroro Gunsō movie and it looks like mama-san’s back in her bathing suit… which means I guess I’ll be going to watch the new Keroro Gunsō movie this June.
First up is finally finishing "Iron Blooded Orphans." I re-watched the 1st season last week. So far, I like this series a lot. It's story is much simpler than a lot of Gundam series (not a bad thing) and i like how the main characters are just straight up killers.
The two sequences from my previous post were my favorite to draw, but I also animated this segment from the final battle. (I also cleaned up a lot of 2nd key animation, whose layouts were drawn by veteran animators throughout the film. It was an *amazing* learning experience!)
For my scenes in Toumei Otoko #11, episode director Chafik asked that apply my "Kuzan" animation effect to the outline of the character's skin to convey how panicked & drunk he was. The over-all style & line-work looks different, but the animation method I used was the same.
Went to the Black Clover exhibit in Tokyo today. Very cool getting to see the original artwork from the manga. I wanted a Liebe plushy but they were all sold out. 😣
I'm super proud of Chafik & think he did an incredible job with the episode. This episode is yet another example of how the skills we all learned while working on Wanokuni, under Nagamine-san's direction, are influencing many anime, even outside of One Piece.
I drew animation for "The Invisible Man and His Soon-to-Be Wife" episode 11. It was fun drawing animation for a type of series I don't usually work on. This was (Wanokuni production manager) Chafik's debut as an episode director & many of us One Piece animators showed up for him.
I finally finished Dragon Quest VII reimagined! (All post game content, Battle Arena, all mini metals, etc) And with this, I have played EVERY* (DQ10-online excluded) main Dragon quest games! In short, I loved it! Though, I have a LOT (positive & negative both) to say about it...
Finished watching Ushio & Tora. I will say, the 1st half of season 2 moved at such breakneck speed it lost a lot of the charm from season 1. BUT it had a GREAT villain, the final battle was spectacular, and it kept that 90's anime charm through the end. I'm kinda depressed now.😭
Don’t think I’ve ever played Pokemon Go so much in a couple days as I did this weekend. Thanks to that event though I got every remaining mega evolution I didn’t have yet. Didn’t get any new shiny’s… but did manage to mega-evolve a few I already had.
One interesting thing I noticed is that the old OVA has one story (episode 4) which *isn’t* adapted in the newer TV series… which is kinda cool because it makes the 90’s OVA still something unique and worth watching.
I watched both the OVA & first TV series a while back, but realized I never finished the second season! So I’m rewatching “Ushio and Tora.” Great series. Even the newer TV version has that 90’s anime vibe I love. I finished season 1 just now. Can’t wait to finally see the ending!
Went to see the continuation (movie edit of the next 4 episodes) of the Yamato 3199 series in theaters today. It was very slow moving tbh but there’s an absolutely insane twist in the final moments, so I’m interested in seeing where it goes from here. Just 2 films left in “3199.”
The Macross F short film released with the movie is also very high quality and a nice little addition to the franchise. I think this film/short-film release single handedly saved the franchise. It's not "Macross Plus" good ... but it's a huge step back in the right direction IMO.
While the singing battles are still silly, I'm in absolute flabbergasted SHOCK to find the Macross Delta: Zettai Live movie is actually great. High quality, references to nearly EVERY Macross, good world-building for the franchise & a good epilogue to the Delta series. SHOCKED.😱
After the (IMO) pretty terrible Macross Delta series, I haven't watched any Macross. There's only been 2 movies though so I decided to catch up. The Delta-retelling movie needed some additional exposition toward the end, but tbh I think it's an easy, better watch than the series.
Caught up with season 2 of "My Hero Academia: Vigilantes." The high quality art and animation and fun character moments continue as the plot continues to do... nothing. Literally nothing at all. No complaints! And also not really any compliments. 😅 I'll keep watching though. 😁
Watched the 1st season of "My Hero Academia: Vigilantes" & I gotta say, I'm quite shocked at how good & consistent the art quality is. The animation directors did an unreal job. Some fun characters too. The story is, well, nothing tbh + I'm exhausted w/ superhero shows soo...😅
Watched the first 5 episodes of the "Yamato 3199" series (The currently ongoing series) and it's easily the most intriguing story since the 1st season. I kinda feel the overall series already jumped the shark... but for what it's worth, the villain here is A+ Sci-fi material.

Watched the 1st half of the "Yamato 2205" series. So far it's a short, succinct arc with a mysterious new villain and good production values. I'm enjoying it... but after the "2001: A Space Odyssey" type weird ending of the previous season, it's hard to go back to "normal."
Dope ass camera angle and drawing here. Yamato 2202's plot points are finally all starting to come together (though I gotta keep it real, it was pretty messy getting here) ... so I'm hoping the story stays focused and clear from here on out. The villain is certainly imposing.
