Hermetic Opus

Warhammer, Transformers, Tabletop RPGs, assorted nerd stuff. I wanted to be a Social Justice Mystic Theurge, but turned out a Social Justice Commoner.
Trump has been every Evil Business Guy for the last 40 years. (At the earliest: Walter Trump, a conman from a 1958 episode of TV western "Trackdown", was taking the piss out of his equally awful but less notorious father Fred Trump.)
Oh! there was another one with a speargun. Forgot about that. (And an equally balance-destroying metal gang plank.)
Something similar to the wrecker trukk add-ons might be a good place to look for inspiration?
There's a weirdly high number of Bad Moons emerging in the aftermath of the Armageddon box. I am proud to have jumped on the bandwagon, with my first Ork for... a quarter century, maybe? #WIP #PaintingWarhammer #WarhammerCommunity #Orks
I'm workin' on it, I'm workin' on it! (Also, there are weirdly high numbers of Bad Moons showing up from the Armageddon box. It seems I am accidentally on trend.)
Oops. Well, that's sub-optimal. #PaintingWarhammer #WarhammerCommunity
The team vehicle: (And what happened to the list guy who talked, capiche?)
We're gonna need a bigger drybrush. #WIP #PaintingWarhammer #WarhammerCommunity
Finally going through the #RogueTrader DLC, and... Look, "Clerk Tertius Quart", if the player character isn't getting an Argentia romance, neither are you.
I can track the point where I decided it was a lost cause back to 2022, and one particular post by the Royal British Legion.
Reminded myself that I do, in fact, own a lightbox - just not a very big one. It may be big enough for a Carnifex and the little version of the backdrop, though.
There's a preview that got sent out with the newsletter regarding the Space Marine forces on Armageddon with Operation Imperator. Firstly, yay! Red Talons! My boys are in the fight! I might even manage to paint some this time out. Secondly, fear the mighty "Holy of Execution"! #WarhammerCommunity
I'm not sure WHY I am now in Must Paint Tyranids mode. Possibly the upcoming Armageddon box is reminding me how much of Leviathan is still in boxes and causing me to feel mildly industrious? Anyway, here's a Carnifex. #PaintingWarhammer #WarhammerCommunity #Tyranids
The Nighthaunt particularly fit the concept art if you look at how he painted them himself. (Regrettably, the article on the then-new contrast paints is no longer up, but I did find the saved images)
The Forge World attack craft were initially multiples of five for all types- regardless of how many were to go on each base - so pack size shouldn't be taken as a direct guide. I've seen it done in a couple of ways, but I would recommend copying the standard assault boat and groups of three.
With the shades applied (Army Painter Vineroot and Grimdark Shadow, along with the ol' Nun Oil), it's time for a couple of photos. #KillTeam #PaintingWarhammer #WarhammerCommunity #Tyranids
Going from a streaking grime heavy paint methodology back to leaning on conventional washes for some stray #Tyranid stuff, and I have to say I am loving the Vineroot Shade. Very wet-look even on drying. Very visceral. #WIP #PaintingWarhammer #WarhammerCommunity
I always liked the look of the Muun in Star Wars. (This may be because of the original Clone Wars cartoons.)
Have not yet decided which extras to add to the Sacristian Forgeshrine - more than I thought seem to need gluing instead of clipping on. I continue to churn through literal years of "ooh, this terrain kit looks cool, I should get it". I need better lighting. #WarhammerCommunity #PaintingWarhammer
