Broke in some new shoes on the dreadmill because of the smoky conditions outside. They’re Adidas Adizero Boston 12, if you were wondering.
Why is TSN’s panel commentating from the studio and not on site of the final?
First attempt of roasting raw cashews by air fryer. Not bad, but could use a little more seasoning. A pack of raw cashews is less expensive at Costco relative to a a bag of already-roasted cashews.
La Belle Patate on Davie Street, earlier today. What Justin’s book reminded me was the squeakiness of the cheese curds. This one has top-notch squeak.
I recently finished Poutine by Justin Giovannetti Lamothe. I liked reading about his and his father's journeys through the Quebec heartland trying to find the origins of this oh-so-good dish, and discussing whether poutine can be considered Canadian cuisine. A recommended read ⭐
Looking bad for Team Orange, according to CBC's poll tracker. 0-1 seat in BC? If it is one, who will survive? Van East? Kingsway?
canada.datagotchi.com OK, I didn't expect to skew that orange, but <10% for blue is good.
Pitiful attempt to take a shot of the lunar eclipse at the start of totality. There is a hint of red.
Surprised to see the moon right at the start of the eclipse cycle. The weather today has been weird, so it’s nice to have little break.
“Captials” Anyone remember when some Washington baseball players wore jerseys in-game with the “Natinals” typo?
Post a perfect album from the 90s that isn’t Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Soundgarden, or Alice in Chains
Finished this on draft day AND on the same day I had to return it to the library (it’s a popular book for holds, @passittobulis.bsky.social). Great overview of the stars and busts drafted by the Canucks in the franchise’s history, as told by those who scouted and drafted them.
