Psychologist, but not that kind of psychologist. She/her.
The teen mags tried soooooo hard to make him a heartthrob during the 1996 cup and we were all like no thx
Oh no the pictures from the first “convention” are up. And the language has gotten very overtly MLM-y
The latest example of this niche peeve, from a Derby party a friend attended
THIS DEFINITELY LOOKS LIKE BLOOD, RIGHT? “Get away to forever” with murderrrr The subject arrangement of photography is my passion
This is part of a very long post about how legit their peptides are (I really hope that’s true!!) but clearly this is a “business opportunity”. The poster is a repeat offender MLM upline girly
I was about to make a “this is what they took from us” joke about this old novelty coin I found, but according to Wikipedia the Brontosaurus might be…back?
Y’all I was listening to some Phil Collins today because I was recently reminded of how much that guy’s music slaps, and we are basically living inside the song Jesus He Knows Me.
A good night for our favorite Soupuary soup, Creamy Cauliflower Green Curry soup. This soup is just silly good, and not difficult to make. The only out of the ordinary ingredient for our house is a lemongrass stalk.
Tonight’s soup: Thai Chicken Noodle. Delightful, easy, yummy. This was a bit of a riff on some recipes online based on stuff we had at home already.
Forgot to post last night’s soup. Greek inspired lemony chicken soup from Soup Queen Snodgrass. Basically avgolemono minus the avgo/egg (makes it a quicker prep which we needed yesterday!). Note to self - if using orzo in place of the pearl couscous, increase the amount of stock/liquid!
For tonight’s soup, my Chinese-American friend and I rolled homemade wontons. I didn’t do too badly for a first-timer, but I had a good coach! These are going in chicken stock for a simple soup.
Tonight’s soup: Italian Penicillin adapted from the recipe on the list @sophiahelix.bsky.social shared! Great deliciousness to effort ratio here, and it exclusively calls for stuff you already have on hand when you’re doing Soupuary, which is a big win.
First up: Alex Snodgrass’s Creamy Cajun Chicken and Wild Rice. The “Cajun” seems to mostly just be cayenne and a simple roux, but Snodgrass is a beloved soup queen in our household so we’ll let it slide. Excellent soup, Snodgrass doesn’t miss, would make again - can’t believe we haven’t made before!
New York had pizza rat, Chicago has deep dish pigeon. It was pecking it when I walked by but posed more nicely when I stopped to snap a pic.
True to my personal brand, Andra Day singing “Glory Days” in the car bar in Cars 3.
And while I’m ranting, I’m about to finish a lovely book - A MARVELLOUS LIGHT - and the entire time I’ve been reading it I’ve been driven progressively more bananas by a blurb on the back cover that had one of the main characters’ names wrong! TJ, wyd? Also how did it get printed? (It’s Edwin)
