I just read an excellent article by Bridgitte Hamstead, called "How Borderline Personality Became a Holding Category for Undiagnosed Audhd Women." Just had a large coffee, so I feel called to indulge myself in a large angry rant about it. It is so absolutely right on. Read it on Substack.

Rush's "By-Tor and the Snow Dog" origin story

Rush's road manager Howard Ungerleider came up with the title at a party.... There were two dogs at the party, one a German shepherd and the other a tiny white nervous dog. Howard used to call the shepherd By-Tor because anyone that walked into the house was bitten. The other dog was a snow-dog (white).

Knob and tube is turn of the century wiring! It isn't illegal but it can only handle 15 amps so mostly it gets replaced or kept as vintage ornament.

Ooh look what I found on my bookshelf! From the book tour in Waterloo, early 90s. She was asked at that time where she *ever* got the idea for The Handmaid's Tale. She said simply that the US was founded as a religious cult, & the wiring for that society was still in the walls. Look at us now!
