I'm staying at my mums for a few days and we took a walk round Mallards Pike yesterday. The water was low but there were some Very Good Dogs having a great time.
Bore da from Nantymeillion, where the sun is out and I'm off to Bristol for a memorial service for my friend's lovely mum. But first tea #IneffableHusbands
Bore da from Nantymeillion, where Chris, Elsa and i camped out in the roundhouse last night to get away from the heat
The chickens go to bed on their own but they need to be shut in because of foxes. The ducks don't go to bed on their own because they are stupid, so they need to be herded. Charley's job is to check nobody has accidentally been left outside. He takes his work very seriously.
Bore da from Nantymeillion, where it rained hard in the night and now everything is sparkling under the new morning sun.
@persiflage.bsky.social Have you read these? I thonk you would love them #booksky
Face of a dog who has £135 quids worth of special food and drugs for her tummy, but would prefer to chow down on a whole-ass rat; tyvm #fml
Bore da Womble! I'm currently reading A City On Mars by Kelly and Zach Weinersmith, and thinking we should send Elon Musk first....
I woke up at 1am with what felt like a small piece of damp liver pressed into the base of my skull and a weird rumbling noise going on, and it took me several minutes to realise that it was Elsa's nose and she was snoring into my hair
@manmademoon.bsky.social Chris bought me this - going to wear it to the cinema!
The polytunnel runoff pond at Nantymeillion looking particularly artsy this morning
Dydd 257 of #365DaysOfFood is a goose egg omelette with cheese and red-veined spinach from the polytunnel. What it's all about really, eating things produced at Nantymeillion, and eating things you don't get in the shops.
Day 255 (yesterday) and 256 (today) of #365DaysOfFood and we're all about the unexpected cauliflowers. Yesterday @rozc.bsky.social made a cheesy mustardy potatoey cauliflower bake, and today I'm making cauliflower sweetcorn chowder because it is quick and I am tired....
Hugs. It was my bridge hounds fifteenth gotcha day a few days ago. I miss her so much :(
S'okay. The lemon gives it a bit of zing. Would have been nicer if the tomatoes had actual flavour rather than being bland supermarket salad tomatoes, but its April *shrugs* One to try with our own tomatoes should we get any
Fight Like a Girl cover by @oisinmcgann.bsky.social , Summer Goddess cover by Ken Dawson, both available from @wtpress.bsky.social
Dydd 252 of #365DaysOfFood - we don't have quite enough spinach yet to go with scrambled eggs....
