Healthcare IT. Dabbled in MO state politics. Native plants and foraging #STL (he/him)
Just utter horseshit. The MO GOP is a stain on democracy. The disdain they have for the people knows no limits.
Car dealerships seem to be the #1 pipeline into politics for a particular type of "you have money and opinions but no talent" guy. Makes me think maybe the whole dealership industry is a grift...
I finally got to see a show at Delmar Hall. of Montreal still being weird little guys. #STL
The wild yeasties did their thing and they were done bloop blooping in the carboys. It’s bottled with very little spillage this year. It will be racked for a few weeks to carbonate and settle down. Another successful elderflower mead season. #foraging #nativeplants
unfortunately, a lot of people love that shit
Dog had a seizure last night. First time that has happened. We knew he was special needs when we adopted. There is nothing like looking deep into those eyes as he tries to lick your face and telling him he is a very good boy.
My Daily Discovery recommendations on Tidal is wild today. Genre whiplash. Not hating it.
69% woke, nice and Canadian, not bad, eh?
Seven times since Republicans took control of the legislature in Missouri (2000s), ballot measures approved by Missouri citizens were reversed or faced immediate pushback by the Republican legislature or Republican state government officials within one year of being approved:
Elderflowers! Time to harvest some elderflower and start a batch of elderflower ‘champagne’. 2 gallons will be ready to drink in about a month but I usually celebrate the process by opening a few bottles at our Halloween party. #Fermented with wild yeast. #Foraging #nativeplants
Carrot harvest day! Going to need to call in the Tonka trucks to help bring these to market. We pay our field hands in product. You can see our proud employee, Trooper, taking his share.
Bun update: 1 week. They are still cute. Still not leaving the protection of the nest. Momma visits in the middle of the night and early morning.
1 day old baby bunnies in my raised beds. 🐰 🐰 🐰 I didn’t take a picture yesterday because they were naked little aliens. I wanted to keep them warm and protect their modesty. I will try to update this with daily pictures until they leave the raised bed and get eaten by my dog.
The longer I look at this, the more questions I have What’s a bfy snack? Are peanuts not snack nuts? Are there nuts in the store that are not snackable? Aisle has its own jingle 🎼 snacks snacks beefy snacks 🎵 peanuts 🎵 snack nuts 🎶 🎷
Anybody remember the show Two Fat Ladies? I don't remember which channel this was on in the US, probably PBS. But I clearly remember these two wonderful ladies puttering around the UK on their motrobike with side car and cooking delicious things on sick days when I was home from school.
I spend some weekends removing invasive species and restoring 5 acres of mixed hardwood, small prairie, and ponds in Lincoln County. This is why I do it. We have so many #turkey, deer, #frogs, snakes and #nativeplants just looking for space to survive.
Side note: this was my first MtG product. If you wanted to bring nightstalkers back as a creature type, that would be dope.
Check out Sam Eagle interviewing some guy in politics
I think a lot of people who dip their toes in #foraging get frustrated that they can’t sit down to a 100% foraged meal and write off the whole endeavor. Anyone can easily stock their spice cabinet and pantry with local flavor. Ramps and Dryad Saddle can be dried for stocks or added to pickles. 🥒 🍄🟫
