The dog and I spotted a doe on our evening walk to the creek. He was more excited about the skunk at the other side of the park. Merlin also picked up an Eastern screech owl during that walk. And yes, I live in Canada's largest city.

Behold! The single bean my scarlet runner beans produced so far. But I've still got plenty of flowers and tendrils happening, and lots of pollinators visiting, so I'm hopeful.

Adorable skunk babies everywhere. 🦨 I counted 9 skunks tonight, I think only 2-3 were adults. They are so cute 🥰 but I have a very curious doggo.

The compromise is that I have to reseed the lawn when we eventually move out. My neighbourhood does not have many veggie or pollinator gardens on the front lawns so I must look completely unhinged standing by my tomatoes yelling at the poodle. Dog tax because.

I try hard not to buy snack foods but then I'm forever annoyed with myself for not having snack foods. Chips is a big one. My bestie and I had a whole text exchange last night about rules for eating chips. Have you ever had Storm Chips? These were a revelation.
