Decided to try actor Jeff Daniel’s favourite sandwich & was surprised how well these disparate flavours & textures work. No real nutritional value, but a fun treat after an hour cutting grass. Ingredients: Pita bread Creamy peanut butter Ruffles Cheddar & Sour Cream potato chips-crushed BBQ sauce
I first saw Sam Neill in “The Final Contact”, when I was a teenager and loved his work throughout my life - from “Dead Calm” to “The Hunt For Red October” through the “Jurassic” films, “Peaky Blinders” and “Hunt For The Wilderpeople”. He made every film he was in even better. #RIPSamNeill
Norway takes out Brazil. The hype on Haaland is justified. I suspect I will be seeing his name on student jerseys a lot more often next September. Tough not to root for a team from a country with a population smaller than Ontario #NorwayvBrazil #WorldCup #Haaland
Happy 250th to my American friends. Hope you have a wonderful weekend celebration
Next week, I write my 400th blog in #The500Blog series. It'll be about "In The Wee Small Hours" from The Chairman of The Board - Frank Sinatra. It was his 9th studio record.
Celebrating another successful school year and surprising my wife with a trip to celebrate the 25th Anniversary of our favourite musical. "Hedwig and The Angry Inch" at the Danforth - with writer and star John Cameron Mitchell.

#110 on #The500Blog is "Loaded" the fourth studio record from The Velvet Underground. I knew the hit, "Sweet Jane", but the rest of the record was new to me. What a journey through the genres - sunshine pop, torch songs, soulful R&B, good ol' Rock and Roll. It is a delightful listen.
All my #The500Blog posts are at the50-20.blogspot.com Next Week, is one that dominated my world for several weeks in 1995. #111 is "The Bends" from Radiohead Where does it rank among Radiohead releases for you?

#RIPValeriePerrine She was among my first celebrity crushes back when I first saw her as Eve Teschmacher in the 70s ”Superman” movie - to add to my nerd cred, my first Dungeons & Dragons character was a warrior named “Perival” - a 15-year-old’s clever reverse portmanteau of her name!
I was late to Buffy the Vampire Slayer. My wife had to drag me into it, and I was fully prepared to roll my eyes. Instead, I ended up loving it, and a huge part of that was Nicholas Brendon’s performance as Xander. Thanks for the laughs & unexpected joy 54 is far too young. #RIPNicholasBrendon
All my posts are at the50-20.blogspot.com Next week, it is album #116 - "Out of our Heads" the third studio record from The Rolling Stones.
I've hit that sweet spot in the school year where the students and I have figured each other out *They know my expectations and are delivering *We collaborate on fun playlists *They balance work & social time at a reasonable volume. Today, we put Gen Alpha slang into our latest rubric.
