Well this is as close to totality as I got here, really really cool to sit in the weird twilight again. I'll process the pictures properly at some point, maybe make myself a little timelapse
Coded (no vibe coding) a little side thing that reads raw gen 2 Pokémon save data and outputs the info like a little Pokédex. Gonna present it like a garden with all the little guys all running around in it
It's Bol of HolBol fame, this guy is why I'm named this, look at the old guy
If you ever saw me post pictures of this pretty river pool bordered by woodland, well that painting is of the view looking up the hill the other way from nearer the edge of that pond. The woods there was my favourite spot to relax and write stuff
Would you happen to have been inspired by this building at all? 👀
Oh no I can definitely do that, here! Lots of little details in these
This is a great place to see how many people struggle with the concept of how boats work and which way they're supposed to go
Even if this wasn't overgrown and thus invisible... Are they actually serious???
THEN on the way back, I decide "I'll use the public footpath", except of course the farmer hasn't maintained it, wading through head-height crops and god knows what else, only to find THIS is the exit gate back on to the road. That's a near vertical climb through stinging nettles.
So in a genius moment of infrastructure planning, apparently the best best way to get the bus stop west (having been dropped at East) is to cross four lanes of 60mph traffic on a blind hill. Also add into the fact the central reservation is overgrown with plants. This is literally what they expect
I ran into a road with a leaf to save a sleepy bee today It's the most I've felt like myself in months
A fun little afternoon exercise, what if a central York map but in the style of 3D era GTA? An experiment in squishing recognisable places down while keeping the general plan and feel of it.
Some more, though I couldn't capture just how many swallows/house martins were nesting in this
