im 28, i have a job || (they/them)
had to drop $150~ over the past week on gauze, wound care, antibiotics, and other medical materials for a new and stressful health condition that's going to require specialist treatment to fully treat. it may cost me $6,000; a crowdfunding issue for later. for now, any bit helps, thanks
today a customer gave me this thank you note and THIRTY DOLLARS CASH for an interaction i barely even remember. well im glad it was helpful and kind!
(thank you to Alice for helping me recall what i was looking for) i've started reading "Everything for Everyone: An Oral History of the New York Commune 2052-2072". i like the structure and framing. my primary feeling thus far is "I would like this more if it was actually Marxist"
views from the ground from the Ben Franklin Bridge's 100th Birthday!!
i should mention, it Also has a "creative mode" where u can control nearly every little thing. this is my current progress on entirely redoing the bare bones of a "artists loft"
best photo of the day from my outing with evelyn to morris arboretum
if youre free on Tuesday June 30th from 5:30-8pm, want some free water ice, and to help audit transit stops around philly for accessibility u should join me!!
when i saw this "Lemon Basil Tortellini" at the grocery store this week i KNEW i had to try it. sauteed some spinach, a little salt a little olive oil... its perfect
have to submit photos of my work for a scholarship, so this morning i set up a selection to take more professional shots of. this one's "Golden Daisies Blue Vase"

my final painting for the still life class. a wide mouth angular vase, and REAL FLOWERS. deep red roses, pink roses, white filler flowers and something like a big white hydrangea. a lemon on a brownish orangeish tablecloth, in front of a yellow back drape. a small white vase has two lemons in it
today was the last day of my Alla Prima Still Life class. heres nearly all the paintings i did over the 10 weeks, all together after my little 10 minute critique and reflection with Giovanni
found the absolute cutest new bathmat for the bathroom at the grocery store tonight
really felt like i Got It today while at class. everything made sense to me, and the end result is gorgeous
last week i realized i need to study metals and chromatic surfaces. this coppery mother of pearl teapot still life definitely challenged me. surprised it came out as well as it did tbh!
this is the finished version of a snow day painting i didnt really like that i started back in january. i planned to sand it and gesso it to reuse the canvas, but my girlfriend liked it, so i finished it and gave it to her to keep
todays still life alla prima painting has some of my strongest values/contrast and petal definition yet! Giovanni was pleased, and it definitely works very well at a distance (painting, both, still life)
this is one of my favorite memes of all times. i cant quite pinpoint why. cracks me up. i got sour gummy worms today
not my fave of the still life class results, + the fact that i dont like wasting my palette at the end during clean up (palette knife time down in the bottom left). we had a salmon colored background, a jug, some gourds, two blue tablecloths, and lemons in a brass dish
this week's still life! (plus an early stage & the real life its based off of) i really love this one a lot! Giovanni was happy that the class is getting noticeably faster at the blocking stage each week
tonight we made fish tacos with a mango salsa. really delicious. some plain avocado and rice to pair, raspberry-cranberry juice with lime... yum!
this weeks still life! Giovanni had few corrections for me today, he rather liked what i ended up doing so i feel successful (comparison photo next post) was hard to photograph without the glare 😪
