Berra’s Albuquerque Academy High School Graduation Family Party @ Garduno’s in Burque in 2005, under that fabulous #Glass window. I just realized my mom’s 105th Birthday would be 2morrow, so I decided 2 post these & post more of my awesome mom 2morrow! There WILL be more #Glass! 💙 #BlueSkyArtShow
As the evening light settles & filters thru my greenhouse into my living room w/my mom’s two antique #glass lamps, I bid everyone adieu from Albuquerque and will be sure to look at and share some of YOUR art! #BlueSkyArtShow
My great-grandmother Louise (my middle name) was from Stavanger, Norway. We visited the house she grew up in in 1994. I love how they filled their #glass windows w/lace & flowers. I’ve done the same ever since! Soon I plan 2 scan 10 rolls of film (the photos are gone) & process them! #BlueSkyArtShow
When Berra was in College in Lyon, she traveled as much as possible in Europe. She visited Scotland & photographed St Giles Cathedral in Edinburgh, Scotland. I loved how the builders sculpture-cut the many #Glass pieces to fit into the windows! #BlueSkyArtShow
In Lyon, France, where Berra spent herJunior year of College, they light up the city w/all kinds of lights 2 celebrate the beginning of HolidaySeason. During Fetes des Lumieres, you’ll see all kinds of #Glass making all kinds of Light! Photo by Berra/processing by moi. #BlueSkyArtShow
In 2010, I spent a few weeks photographing everything I could find of historic Route 66 landmarks in Burque. Since we’re now celebrating the Centennial of Route 66, the #Glass of the many neon signs is especially appropriate today! #BlueSkyArtShow
“Sunport Luminescing,” November 2009. “I had to pick up Berra flying in from Oregon that night, so I got there a little early.” I love how the color from the #glass windows shifts just a bit, and I still haven’t figured out why! #BlueSkyArtShow
In 2019 I broke both my feet (LONG story). Five months of Assisted Living at Atria Vista. I loved watching/photographing the #glass windows over the courtyard reflecting the sky. That’s how I learned one of my neighbors was a Lobos Fan! #BlueSkyArtShow
“Organized Chaos on a Snowy Day” while last minute shopping on Christmas Eve in 2009. Reflections in #Glass at Scalo Cafe in Nob Hill With the snowy Sandias in the background. #BlueSkyArtShow
You can tell I’m a VERY serious photographer! Self-portraits in #Glass! #BlueSkyArtShow
The gold, the green, and the blue. Last November’s sycamore leaves reflected in my car’s windows (I LOVE photographing reflections! #BlueSkyArtShow #Glass
Delicate sliver of an evening moon over the brightly lit #glass windows of Nob Hill in Burque in March of 2010. #BlueSkyArtShow
“Hey,Marti, there’s a black cat out there & I don’t know whether to attack it or fly away from it”, says the Roadrunner protected by the #glass of my greenhouse! #BlueSkyArtShow
Another great use of #Glass in photography is to clone yourself, your daughter, & her best friend enjoying a brew at Tractor Brewing in Burque, which I did back in 2013! #BlueSkyArtShow
After it stormed last night in Burque, it got really dark and my six-years-old solar bottle lights went on in my #glass wine-bottles, several of which come from my favorite New Mexico Winery! #BlueSkyArtShow
Good morning #BlueSkyArtShow from Albuquerque, where we had a RAUCOUS thunderstorm last night w/lots of lightning, thunder, and RAIN (FINALLY)! I’m enjoying a peaceful quiet morning with these simple flowers in this simple #Glass vase!
My last photos in Carcassonne were of the Basilica of Saint-Nazaire, before we moved on to Nice (another time). I’m including both the wide view & a narrow glance at the moon catching a gothic gargoyle! Thank you all for exploring France, Ukraine, & New Mexico with me today! ⛪🌙 #BlueSkyArtShow #Wide
Once inside, I was immediately drawn to a shop where I bought a beautiful "medieval" tapestry—which I still haven't decided what to do with! Such an unforgettable, picturesque place is Carcassonne. 🏰🛍️ #BlueSkyArtShow #Wide
The next morning at Carcassonne, we crossed the inner drawbridge at Narbonne Gate - they were SERIOUS about security in those days of yore! Fortunately, "we" included a daughter who knew how to operate my film camera to capture the only photo of moi in the entire collection! 🏰✨ #BlueSkyArtShow #Wide
"Hey, Honey, I’m HOME!" A modern traveler arrives at the Narbonne Gate (Porte Narbonnaise) of Carcassonne. I liked moody, stylized look at a magical realm emerging from the deep shadows of evening. #BlueSkyArtShow #Wide
Our 2000 trip led us to Carcassonne & this magical motel view! Fun 4th of July fact: France's massive financial backing of the American Revolution emptied their treasury, directly triggering the French Revolution in 1789. Happy 4th from across the Atlantic! #BlueSkyArtShow #Wide
Nothing like a nice #Wide sandy space under the Eiffel Tower in 2000 AD for chasing the birdies around! Processing my old-school film photos and having fun doing it! #BlueSkyArtShow
The Eiffel Tower in 2000 AD, via my 1972 Minolta film camera, trying to be #Wide instead of tall. Textured via Distressed FX. #BlueSkyArtShow
Film photo I took in 2000 of the Passerelle (Foot Bridge) Debilly, which crosses the Seine NE of the Eiffel Tower, between Palais de Tokyo & Museum of Modern Art & Musee de Quai Brandy-Jacques Chirac (looks like a big book). Processed thx 2 Lightroom on my ancient 2015 iMac! #BlueSkyArtShow #Wide
Holy Cross Exaltation Monastery located on a hillside overlooking Poltava, Ukraine & the “Rotunda of Peoples Friendship” in Poltava, beautifully photographed by Miss Berra during a visit to a friend from Lyon in 2011. Viva La Revolution! #BlueSkyArtShow #Wide
Three horses, some water, and a thousand shades of Green. From my 2009 trip to Orygun in 2009 for my daughter’s graduation from U of O. #BlueSkyArtShow #Wide
My dad was a very hip meteorologist who taught me abt Climate Change when I was 13 yrs old. He built this greenhouse & planted the trees to help heat & cool our house w/a grant from the Carter Admin. Last year the trees FINALLY turned gold BEFORE the winter storms arrived! #BlueSkyArtShow #Wide
I had forgotten that it snowed here in late October just before the 2020 Election! I discovered this very cool panorama just yesterday! #BlueSkyArtShow #Wide
Driving down La Bajada Hill after our visit to Santa Fe (where my dad grew up) after his memorial service 7 years after our trip to France. #BlueSkyArtShow #Wide
Miss Berra & her Grampa checking out the boats across the Seine from the Louvre in 2000. With much help from Lightroom Mobile & Prisma (it was a truly awful film photo). #BlueSkyArtShow #Wide
