My 5 year old found this cool translucent snail shell and he wants to know if anyone can identify it. Found in WNC. “Looks like a gummy bear” Our only guess so far is an Amber Snail, but we’re not sure. He says “if it’s a new species I’m calling it Ashawkaka”
HT to @brunodias.bsky.social for bringing this Sims 4 DLC to our attention, but honestly this “game designer implements the wheel of samsara” gag applies to almost every AAA game made in the last 10 years
Neo Cab is the App Store’s Game of the Day today- and the entire first act of our anti-capitalist cyberpunk adventure is now free to try: apps.apple.com/us/app/neo-c...
We’re preparing Neo Cab, a game I’m immensely proud of, for a mobile re-release soon! I’d love to celebrate this. #Gamedev pals- can you recommend any streamers/podcasters (esp narrative games focused) who might want to host a behind-the-scenes “let’s play” / interview with me? Shares appreciated!
Can't believe Hokusai only got 36 views on his Mount Fuji content... that shit was fire
TIL “Pokémon for Evangelicals” is an actual product. That exists. Apparently you can build decks out of cards tagged “Virtuous” or “Sinnies”? I’m imagining how funny it would be if they balanced the game wrong and an unbeatable Sinny deck broke the Sacred Meta
The INCREDIBLE restraint it must take to dig THIS up at Petra’s “Treasury” archaeological site (made famous as the Grail Temple in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade) and to refer to it plainly as a “ceramic artifact”
Neopetrolisthes maculatus, or as I like to call her, Survivorship Bias Crab
The #GDC2024 concert was so emotional! Hope this is a new tradition we’ll get to experience every year. Darren Korb and Grim Fandango were the high points for me
This 1980 internal memo, reproduced in @mwichary’s thoroughly spectacular new book, “Shift Happens,” really struck me. TL;DR: “You, Apple employee, have 1 year to ditch your typewriter and replace it with a computer.” So… do we think a mandated Studio Display / Vision Pro swap would ever happen?
