This is now ‘grey belt’ after the government change to planning law. A designated Local Nature Recovery area by the County Council with protected Slylarks. The local council planning committee refused planning however the developers appealed & we await the decision. There are so many similar cases🤷♂️
Not excusing anyone from any comments but there needs to be some balance in these matters, as it seems many make comments they shouldn’t 🤷♂️ I hoped that after the last administration there would be clear rules and consequences for politicians but not yet it seems.
We only have a small array but £25 of export meant a total house bill for heating EV etc was £50, friends are spending more than that on one tank of fuel🤷♂️
Amazing we are growing from seed and on Friday three popped up and by Monday they had grown so much in a few days !
We are in a conservation area and got 6 panels on a flat roof and 4 on a garage, full planning needed, but Judith Leary Joyce who wrote the eco renovation book also over came this in her home for info
We invested a part of our pension in a small solar array and battery, we have generated 6.2kW so far today and exporting to the grid. Our bills are very much reduced and with an EV we fill it with cheap rate overnight electricity.
We only have a few panels but they make a big difference between now and October
It’s 830am dishwasher has been on, my battery is at 100% and I an exporting around 1kW per hour to the grid.😀
Judith Leary Joyce has written a book on Eco home renovation and succeeded in overturning a similar decision with St Albans council quoting the climate emergency.
Solid wall 1930s bungalow, works fine and we invested some of our pension in some solar, home battery etc.
Great work but there are other by elections where a similar effect is taking place, as long as NF is not in then that must be a positive for the local community 👍
