Then the producers then explained: “Git’r done” was already taken. By the comic Larry the Cable Guy. Who even has it copyrighted. Still, Isaacs’ instincts were totally correct — “git’r done” is demonstrably catchy.

Lovely sky tonight, but all the clouds are in just the wrong places to pick out any of the planets,except Venus. Also, I suddenly have a urge to play #MassEffect fir* the umpteenth time, can't imagine why. Also can't understand why autocorrect has somehow developed an accent. Regional update?

An improvised apple and plum crumble. The crumble itself has a crispy top layer, slightly chewy cookie middle, then a rich caramelised lava before you get to the fruit later

_Apple and plum crumble_

Preheat oven to 180 degrees C (for Fahrenheit conversion, consult Finnemore, J.)

_Crumble_
165g brown flour
35g oats
5 heaped tablespoons soft brown sugar
6 flat tablespoons soft brown sugar
170 g soft salted butter
Rub together with fingers and put in fridge

_Fruit_
6 plums slice skin all the way around each plum fruit stem to stem; place in a pan and pour boiling water (then leave to deal with apples)
2.5 apples peeled, cored and thinly sliced (3-4mm), microwave for 1 minute until soft and arranged evenly in the base of a 8" by 4" dish
Drain plums, they should slough easily from their skins. Stone and roughly chopped them and evenly arranged over the apples.
Take chilled Crumble mix and gravel a 0.5 inch layer over fruit

Bake in oven for 30 minutes
Allow to cool

Serve with custard (not cream, not ice cream, custard!)

A dish containing half an apple and plum crumble. Credit me with some self-restraint, please!
