There’s always that one grand-sling that likes to be a little bit different.
Update on my pet jumping spider drama. Recap- bought a pet jumper named Mo. An identical jumper turned up on the outside of Mo’s tank + we ended up with twins, Mo + Zoey (MoZo). Yada yada yada Zoey had babies so now I’ve got 4 surprise grand-slings. AREN’T THEY CUTE. TBC.
When you need reminding that all we need is love, and your pasta pot is like, allow me.
New Percolations session is live on Substack and Youtube. Come wander the wonder with me there. But first - OUTFIT APPRECIATION. @nordacious.bsky.social
Here is my adopted guy, Winnie. Mum told him to stop eating geckos because they make his tummy sick, but Winnie didn’t listen. He swears he didn’t eat another gecko this day, but the evidence points to the contrary. That face says it all.
This is Winnie, my adopted guy. He just wants everyone to know he is judging me for working when it’s clearly time to play fetch.
Book club? And mid-week Percolations. This week's Autistic rabbitholes: what does a book, a watermelon and dogs have in common? Here's a taster clip of what we're percolating on over on Substack. If you're into following ideas wherever they lead, come join me.
WE DID A POST IT SQUEEEEE. Somewhere between my obsession with post it notes and good business decisions, we landed here. Coming to all good ideas near you.
Good morning frens. Winnie has a new BFF named Fishy which he lubs so much. They are inseparable.
This is my adopted guy, Winnie. He has been told he’s not allowed on the couch. Turns out his super power is technically not breaking rules. Negotiation skills 14/10. @weratedogs.com
I’ve been training my adopted guy for 3 years now. He was extremely dog anxious (but not human, bird or other animal anxious). We’re at the point where he had his first sniff of another dog the other day. The amount of people like MY DOG IS FRIENDLY, HE WILL CURE YOUR DOG is mind blowing.
Signs you've hired the wrong consultant: 1. You've officially entered your 'staring at your keyboard in WTF' era. Symptoms: proposal contained more buzzwords than Linkedin on a Motivational Monday, you needed clarity, got a 147-pg deck, report cost more than problem (+ you still have problem).
When it’s Saturday morning and you have your head and two arms hanging out the top of your silk boudoir unsure if you can face the day while some punk has a camera in your face singing you the good morning song. Mo, the Jumping spider, who has entered his surly TWEEN phase.
Signs Drama Llamas have invaded your project: 1. Your CEO's hair has entered its 'wrangling Drama Llamas' era. Symptoms- everyone is solving a different problem, nobody can explain why the project is still going, you’ve implemented new technology, but everyone is still making the same decisions.
When you’re a working parent with sick kids and the school texts asking where they are.
Here’s a photo of my husband with the dog he ‘will never agree to having in our household’ 😆 Very much alive and well. The dog and their bromance.
Just bc you can replace the human, doesn’t mean you should. Thomas Coyle, reflecting in his book about the loss of the tea lady at Scotland Yard. The tea lady served home made cakes with love; a connection that became synonymous with her treats. So much so, she’s fondly recalled decades later.
How to know you’re amongst good people, the creativeness of their RSVP’s to your upcoming CEO Roundtable breakfast. Made my day.
Resilience in the modern age is launching something + no one caring bc what they see is controlled by an algorithm. The algo doesn’t care how much heart + soul you’ve poured into it or how it’s going to help people. With that, I’ve been working on something I’m super excited about. More soon.
Miss TWEEN set up a rotating screensaver featuring Winnie so every time I go to open my phone I see a new photo of him and it’s making my life. LOOK AT MY GORGEOUS BOY. 1000/10 highly recommend.
I’m just a girl waiting for Mr 7 to stop yakking and get out of the car at school drop off.
Every afternoon we play games as a family- board games, card games, dice games, the old school ones. Mr 7, the Inventor, built us a trophy which the champion of each games session gets to hold on to, and I just love it.
Australian spider lovers on Reddit lyrically articulating how spiders must feel about being so intensely feared by everyone. My Autistic brain is tickled pink.
