Unique visitor to our backyard. A Piebald whitetail doe. Occurs in 1% of the species in varying degrees. I had heard from neighbors there were sightings but this is a first I’ve seen.
Similar in appearance to raptors covering their kills to hide it from those who would take it.
Sometimes walks in the woods are inhospitable without special considerations. I’m talking about areas that can be next to urban centers that defy comfortable access but yield surprises.

I took this while in a boat off St. Augustine. Had some coloration around the arc of the cloud. Wondered what the phenomenon was or if this is even the same. Thought it cool at the time.
On a lighter note, the aura surrounding plastic Jesus’s hand on Jeffrey Epstein’s head in that bed lays out the depth of delusion festering in leadership. These Paula White inspired posts only an evangelical mother could love are out the box.
That is unusual. Monkey grass is spreading around an old cane kettle. Used to process cane sugar in these by hand. This is not a big one only 5 feet in diameter. Very heavy.
Ours are back. Had to clear some downed trees from that front that came through. 6 inches on rain gauge. Dog is enjoying the run.
