Young people just want their piece of the American dream. They want a planet that they can live on, a government that listens to them, and jobs to take care of their families. We must listen to our next generation of leaders. I am honored to have so many young people supporting me in this race.
As Pre-trial, Probation and Parole Supervision Week comes to a close, I think about the last two decades that I have served in this field. My mandate as a probation officer is to protect the community, victims and clients. The 2026 theme was “Connected for Change: Building Bridges in Supervision.”
I had the opportunity to attend the emergency public safety meeting called by the Hennepin County Sheriff Dawanna Witt, with Minneapolis City Council member Elizabeth Schaffer, City Council VP Jamal Osman and Inspectors and Deputies to address the three mass shootings in the last 48 hours.
I had the opportunity to attend the Hennepin County District 2 Commissioner race. Hearing the concerns of constituents is very important, especially around public safety and environmental justice.
Had a great time talking with water patrol deputies with the Hennepin County Sheriffs Office! We even got to go for a ride on the Patrol boat 💙
Had the privilege of hearing from the Minnesota Supreme Court Chief Justice Natalie Hudson regarding leadership and voter engagement. It’s very important that we listen to those who came before us and make sure that we do not lose the rights that our family‘s fought for for generations.
Today was a wonderful day. I got to cast my ballot for myself in the US Congressional race. 💙💙💙 I want to thank all of my family, friends and community supporters who believe in me, this campaign and my leadership. You mean the world to me! Now, let’s send me to Congress to fight for all of us!

Had the opportunity today to be in Community to discuss the United black Legislative agenda. It was great to hear from Community members about what is important to them. So many continue to feel left behind in Minnesota.
Had a great time at the Humphrey-Mondale dinner last night with my union family and Friends! AFSCME was out representing labor! Former Minnesota Governor, Mark Dayton, and many other New and Former legislators celebrated the Democratic wins and advocacy in Our state.
Had the opportunity to attend the “Minneapolis Rise” event that celebrated the The John F Kennedy Profiles of Courage award bestowed on the Twin Cities (Minneapolis/St Paul) for our courage during metro surge. Congratulations community!
