The Heritage Foundation seems to oppose history based on academic findings and books encouraging people “to become activists.”

A recent Heritage Foundation report slams history museums that reflect “the training of academic historians.” It is titled, “The Heritage Guide to Historic Sites: Rediscovering America’s Heritage.” The report instructs historical sites to “focus” on “what the common people find interesting.”

Framing a Muslim as inherently a “terrorist” to advance the great replacement theory that Muslims are coming to “destroy America.”

Racist Americans will say Corey Ruiz should not have resisted arrest. They will say four White officers feared for their lives. They will point to a knife to justify the police murder, hoping we ignore our own eyes; hoping we will disregard this brother’s humanity. We won’t. We regard Black life.

How it is that so many low and middle income White people do not understand that voting for the Republicans hasn’t improved their lives in decades?

If you don’t understand the history and spread of great replacement theory, which I chronicle in my new book, Chain of Ideas, then it is hard to fully understand American (and global) politics right now. This so-called “alien arrest map” is purposeful and chilling.

A new White House website. www.whitehouse.gov/aliens/ It is based on great replacement theory: that elites have been secretly enabling the “invasion” of “aliens” of color. The Trump administration projects itself as protecting the American people (to cover up its robbing of the American people).

They’re burning books. Yesterday, Jake Lang, a GOP candidate for U.S. Senate, burned a copy of Antiracist Baby. He also burned the Quran near the Islamic Center of America in Michigan. He previously burned the Talmud. 🎥 @bgonthescene

How we got here.

Alabama’s Lt Gov. wants to eliminate 2 largely-Black districts and institute a map w/ 7 largely-White districts. If enacted, Black Alabama—26% of the state—would have no representation in Congress, akin to slavery and Jim Crow eras. To the Supreme Court, this map wouldn’t be a “racial” gerrymander.

Great replacement theorists are pushing for mass deportations *and* the elimination of civil and voting rights. To great replacement theorists, the presence of peoples of color means the erasure of White people; equal rights for Black people means the oppression of White people.

These guys are picking the pockets of their White (and non-White) supporters while telling them they are losing out to Black people, Muslims, and immigrants of color. All this scamming. All this defrauding.

Authoritarians know that when people believe great replacement theory—that their lives and livelihoods are being taken by Muslims, by Black people, by immigrants—they are likely to support the march toward racist dictatorships that really ends up taking their (and our) lives and livelihoods.
