Here is my toad that I talk to all the time. It was nestled down in the wooly thyme pot behind it with soil over its head earlier so I watered the pots around it to keep it cool. I'm guessing it may be a female since I have baby toads all over the garden, but idk

Been finding deer resting places in the yard. Here are two areas.

Corner flowerbed serves as a place to eat and rest. The areas covered in leaves used to be full of flowers and the hosta circle is all chewed down but they were considerate and left the lone flower stalk for me as thanks.

Thus bed has hazelnuts, Honeysuckle bush, hostas, roses, creeping phlox and a fairy house tree stump.

Breakfast of champions! Pagoda dogwood, lilies, and Chinese lanterns

Here is a receipt dated 9/29/2024 from a gas station up north in a tourist area for 21.194 gallons of gas at a - wait for it - total cost of $68.59! Found this receipt in the glove box of the truck when I was looking for my ear buds the other day. SMDH

Pictures from the storm yesterday.....so much rain and hail! Had to use the leaf blower to clear all the small branches and leaves from the driveway this morning! The roads were all green, too.

All the white is dime to quarter size hail from the storm yesterday. By the time it was over, the ground was covered in ice balls.

I was inside the back half of the garage during the hail storm and 3 pieces of hail ricocheted off the camper, ground and trashcan to where I was standing. Had to pull the truck as far into the garage as I could to protect it and the "fas-top" bed cover that was still up.

This was right before the heavy rain and hail hit. I'm talking minutes! Thank goodness for the 2' eave!

Filled my truck up 2 days ago to avoid Holiday overpricing this weekend. Even when I lived in Hawaii for 7yrs, I never paid this much for gas!

Kwik Trip gas pump - $81.95 for 19.197 gallons of gas. It was $4.26 gallon, a .06 increase from the previous day. Should've filled up the day before!

Got the 2027-2028 WI Public Service rate proposal in our utility bill today! Residential electricity will have a monthly increase of $11.90 or 10.29% in 2027. 2028 will increase $5.43 or 4.26%! Residential gas will increase monthly - $7.24 or 10.97%. 2028 listed as -$0.07 or -0.10% Solar it is!

April 15th - our tax payment will be postmarked/mailed today. Doesn't matter that the mail won't be picked up til tomorrow cuz DeJoy gutted mail pick ups, but as long as it's postmarked today, what's the IRS gonna do? They're beautiful in the spring and it's the view from my front window. Plus people can see down the road, since then, too. I have had an enormous impact on my neighborhood. Wow

Gutter with water rushing down it around a corner to the left to a cleared storm drain. I pulled all the ice chunks out of the gutter to where the snowplow goes thru. The village guys love me! They always smile and wave when they go by. We will also snow blow tracks from the end of our driveway to the corner for vehicles cuz our street is one of the last to be plowed. If the drain is not kept clear, the whole end of our road turns into a pond that freezes. Safety 1st, plus, I love all people and everyone deserves to be looked out for.
