Step inside the world of “Inside Out: Dignity and the Art of Seeing” - a groundbreaking exhibition that places power in the hands of incarcerated artists.
Lorton photographers documented community happenings around the prison, including the PAL program, people, animals, love.
Photography workshops at Lorton Prison radically changed who controlled the narrative of incarceration.
Photographer and social justice advocate Bernie Boston was a friend to the program and visited multiple times. Check out an exhibition of his work at McLean Project of the Arts.
