Bats right, politics left. Likes a bewildering variety of music. Played Zork on a system running RT-11. Never expected to end up in technical sales, but been doing it for over 30 years. Upstate NY guy, Red Sox fan, grew up in Western North Carolina.
I've learned that you can never replace a dog, but you can fill the dog-shaped hole in your life when the time is right. Kanga was the fourth Sammy I've had after Hercules, Cash, and Mattie. They were all terrific dogs and I miss them all terribly. 6/
She was a fine companion, and loved riding in the convertible with the wind blowing through her floof. Today I gave Kanga the last kindness I could and let her go. 4/
She got along with everybody, and drew attention everywhere we went. She was an accomplished thief, and thwarted several attempts at re-childproofing the kitchen cabinets where we kept sweet potatoes. Yes, that is half a watermelon she stole. 3/
All but one had been placed, and she got in touch and asked if I wanted to adopt her. We traveled to Saco, Maine, where she was being boarded and brought her home. She was about 1 year old. 2/
Kanga came into my life on June 29, 2013. She left this afternoon. It was serendipity. Beverly Delaney knew I'd been without a dog for a while, and there was a litter of puppies that had been surrendered in a neglect case in New Hampshire to Samoyed rescue. 1/
You didn't say it in so many words, but you came right up to the edge: Also, I was explaining why I generally reply to misinformation about the FD, not about you specifically.
This is a photo of my wife on our recent trip to Italy after climbing the steps of the cathedral in Amalfi (and the steps): #AT40
We are finishing up our first week in Naples and Sorrento on a Road Scholar tour. We’ve been having a wonderful time and yesterday rented a Fiat and drove around the end of the peninsula (and lived to tell the tale).
Film you've watched more than six times with a gif. hard mode: no star wars, star trek, lotr, dc, marvel, disney, pixar, dreamworks, spielberg, cameron, wachowskis, or ghibli.
Was curious, so looked up how the #redsox are doing in various counts compared to the league, and here it is: 1/
Fox News didn't lose a broadcast license (which was your claim) partially because they have never had one. Cable channels don't. I'm not asking about individuals being fired, I'm asking about your specific claim that stations could lose their license for releasing "wrong info".
I grew up in NC and used to eat liver mush sandwiches on white bread with Duke's mayonnaise. Never tried cooking the stuff, though, and...yeah, I can easily believe it does. This is the stuff. It's as good as it looks awful.
Yes. Yes, we do. We follow the law because we want a society that is governed by the rule of law. One does not defeat monsters by becoming a monster. Have you, by chance, seen A Man for All Seasons?
Wow. I was curious so like to see if she’s still in the Nazi bar and almost immediately saw this:
Maybe it's my white privilege, but I never found "be an asshole then block people" to be a very effective form of rational argument.
I really wanted to get through this piece but after finding this right in the opening I just couldn't.
Little things. I’m in Ireland for the first time ever, and I discovered that the caps on soda bottles are designed so that they stay attached when you open them to reduce litter.
