Finally the back cover of issue 159 depicting a fantastic battle between Blood Angel Space Marines and the original #Tyranid horde. Look at those lovely colours! #Warhammer #40k
#WhiteDwarf 159 also featured the final bit of content for Advanced Heroquest, the dubiously-named adventure 'Rivers of Blood' by Carl Sargent.
This featured the Battle of Iron Peak battle report, in which Thorgrim*'s Dwarf Command were trounced by Gorblum's Orc Horde. *Not the famous one, even though he's featured on the cover
I continue my trawl through my recently-unearthed copies of White Dwarf with issue 159 which majored on Orcs and Dwarfs!

RIP to John Blanche. One of the most central people in making #Warhammer what it was for me and many, many others.

One last photo of Waaa-Ghazghkull, from the back cover of #WhiteDwarf 134. This shows the Orks fighting aspect warriors from the recent GW studio Eldar army
Old-style Ork vehicles. The drivers were absolutely tiny, smaller than modern Gretchin!

White Dwarf 134 was the issue that made me a #Warhammer fan. This one features Waa-Ghazghkull (sp), Andy Chambers‘ Ork army that introduced the world to a certain mad warboss with a head injury!
