It's that time of year again! We Love Toy Trains is coming to Greenberg's Great Train & Toy Show in Edison New Jersey on August 8th and 9th! See the standard gauge Blue Comet used in I Love Toy Trains and other videos, the MTH freight set, Buster, and other memorabilia!
A possible lost TM Production? It was tradition at TM Books to mark the completion of productions by writing on the ceiling of 'Studio A'. Amongst well known shows in 1997, there's a mention of 'Sportskids' in July. (1/2)

An interesting item to showcase today! This is the first incarnation/prototype of what would become the I Love Toy Trains engine produced by MTH, currently in possession of employee Carl Wilmsen. It never appeared in any videos as it apparently ran off a table!
What a better place for the TM Blue Comet to stretch it's wheels than Tom Snyder's layout!
You may be surprised to learn that it was in fact an 'unbranded' MTH Tinplate set that had been re-badged to Lionel... but only on the left hand side! The crew at TMBV seemed to prefer filming the set with the Lionel badges facing the camera, but the MTH side can be seen here.
