POV: you’re climbing the Queen’s Tower on reopening day! Phew, what a view!
Our Queen’s Tower is back! After restoration works lasting over three years, our beautiful tower is reopening today. Built to mark Queen Victoria’s Golden Jubilee in 1887, the tower opened in 1893 in a ceremony attended by the Queen herself.
Tomorrow an Imperial icon returns: The Queen’s Tower. She's been hidden away under scaffolding due to construction the past few years but tomorrow will be her big unveiling. Thank you to past students sending in their pictures and stories featuring the Queen's Tower - we've loved hearing them.
