Entering Heatwave part 2... My indoor temp upstairs is once again going above 80F+, so I'm having to abandon it during the hottest parts of the day to avoid developing a tension headache. Positive is it forces me to finish painting the office so that I can start moving stuff downstairs

I see using references as a way to get the pose more believable, not to do a one-to-one recreation of it. In this case I did a semi draw-over to get the shapes in the right spots, and then adjusted accordingly. And yes, I have a real crochet hook I used as a prop

When you can't find a good reference for a pose, so you have to do it yourself (Anyone telling you that 'using references is cheating', is just wanting to see you SUFFER). Btw, I don't always need a pose reference, but you can see by the thumbnail I was not nailing what I was going for.

Not quite done, but almost there with my weekend project (been hiding out downstairs & working on it when it gets too hot upstairs). All I have left is to paint the trim, fix 2 spots on the ceiling, cut in a 2nd coat of paint above the baseboards, & then paint the two doors into the room.

Made ONE change that the instructions did not call for, and that was adding two curved pieces & two single spacers to the very underside of the carapace to close #rockytheeridian up so that nothing is exposed (and yes, they were just extra leftover pieces from the box)
