Made a little gift art for @maringoround.com because I thought her vibe would be a great subject for my first foray into alcohol markers and shading! I learned a lot from this piece and hope my next ones are even better!

Actually, you know what? I just remembered I had this little number as a proof for folks that I could write and coordinate with artist ls for comics. Here’s a short story called “Morning Commute” with the artwork of @matthewhuntley.bsky.social to bring it to life!

Panel 2: Interior of expensive car. Man is enjoying coffee while driving. Sound effects: “Thoom. Thoom.”

Panel 3 and 4: Sequence of man looking into his rearview mirror and seeing something out of the ordinary

Panel 5 and 6: Driver drops his coffee to grab the rearview mirror, a look of terror on his face.

Panel 7: a massive pair of legs in black and white striped stockings wearing a massive pair of black combat boots is crushing a car behind the speeding sports car.

Panel 1: Coffee spilling on the groin region of the driver.

Panel 2: Driver is turning around and looking behind himself, his head outside of the window and blown by the high speed winds.

Panel 3: Monica, a giant woman, wearing the striped stockings and combat boots from earlier, only now seen from a low angle, her punk goth boots and black hair in full view, as well as her raised foot, ready to stomp down.

Panel 4: Monica stomping down, narrowly missing the car and sending it jumping into the air with a massive “FOOM” sound effect.

Panel 5: Sports car speeding in a wide arc down the street, with a loud “SCREEEEE” sound effect.

Panel 6: the sports car making a sharp turn into an alleyway.

Panel 1: Safely within the alley, the car sits as Monica’s seen having passed the alley entrance, her boot all that is seen as she leaves

Panel 2: The Driver of the sports car sitting, transfixed, having narrowly avoiding disaster, trying to regain his wits as the sounds of “Boom… boom… boom” fade into the background.

Panel 3: The driver begins to feel something is wrong, as heat waves arise from where his lap should be.

Panel 4 through 7: The driver looking down, seeing his crotch covered in hot coffee. His mind realizing what it is, and having caught up with his body, a juxtaposed image of a sausage over a campfire is seen as the driver screams “AAAAHHHH!”

Some Time Later:

Panel 8: An establishing shot of the outside of the alley, post the destruction of Monica passing through.

Panel 9: The driver slowly pulls his car out of the alley, thinking that the coast is clear.

Panel 10: the car has left the alleyway and

Panel 11: interior of the car, as the driver hears a loud “Thunk” from above him.

Panel 1: outside of the car, a dramatic image of Monica’s giant combat boot on the hood of the sports car, easily showing the size difference, and the ease that she is pinning the car to the spot. She says “Got you!”

Panel 2: Interior of the car. The driver is panicking, as he reaches for the handle of the driver’s side door, trying to escape.

Panel 3: black panel, a stylized font of the word “Crunch” stained with finality

Panel 4: Outside. The driver had exited the car and is prone on the street. Behind him, Monica’s giant boot had finally connected with the street, the car crushed beneath it.

Panel 4: Monica lifts her boot as she begins to walk away, showing the remains and scrap of the expensive car beneath it.

Panel 5: The driver looks up at the underside of Monica’s boot, as the squashed remains of his car are flattened like a bug beneath it. He is crying as he sees the destruction.

Panel 6: The driver looks toward a now exiting Monica. She turns around mid stride, and offers him a peace sign with her right hand, and giving him a little kiss in the air goodbye. Her deed done.
