What wasn't so great: - Ray is still dim. - Clodan's whole thing is that he refuses to let Ray's love heal him (?) & instead wants to drag her down to his terrible level (???). Bro. WHY? - The sweet, innocent FL & the cursed, brooding ML is my least fav romance dynamic. This is that PLUS toxicity

...alas. What I DID like: - We get Clodan's backstory. - We learn about the nature of the curse & how it affects the servants of the estate. - The flashback covering the promise between Clodan & Ray's grandfather.

I'm not gonna lie. Based on the first 10 episodes, I was pretty lukewarm on the series. I have no problem with red flag MLs. (I love Damien from Betrayal of Dignity, after all!) But Clodan really annoys me. Still, I wanted to see if the story improved, so I read 10 more episodes. You never know!
