Ima east coast gull in a desert world. 🌵🏃♀️🌈🗽⚖️☮️🤪🌊 If you post/repost AI slop in ANY form, consider what that action costs all of us. I unfollow and block for it. You should, too! #WaterAware #ProtectArtists #StopICE #StopAIDataCentersSurveillance
:/ But at least the monsoon arrived and brought some good. Hope you can find some peace in it.
I don’t yet know the exact here of this place. I sat next to a Vietnam vet at the parade. He’s a rancher now. He’s worried about the Sacaton fire getting bigger. The controlled burn the “Gubmint” did in March (to burn old burned slope) drove elk out of the forest, onto his ranch. “They’re starving.”
We are here in the Land of Enchantment for just two days in to our summer stay, and so far I have slept through the night every night, biked, walked downtown, shopped(?!), and met new friends! I love this town!
After my Mom died, I took home her rescue terrier who looked very like yours. Her name was “Bella”. She was tough as nails and rude to our corgis but after all, she was technically their aunt so why wouldn’t she be? Iconic. They are really the best dog.
We had this car from 1975-2021, when my mother sold it (gave it) to her favorite mechanic who drives it today. I learned to drive on this car. It was strictly an island car, but my brother & 5 pals took it over the bridge once and my mom’s carpenter, on a date, saw him off-island. (Cont’d…)
I went to our community library’s re-opening (after a long, long wait-four years I think) and it was so nice. It had mariachi!
I promised you all a picture. Here’s RayGun the 🌵 cactus, on the trail on my morning run this morning.
A cactus that actually looks like Raygun dancing. I’ll try to remember to snap a photo next time. Here’s one sort of dancing.
Summer in the Sonoran has begun. 102 today up here at 2200 ft., warmer in town. Found this in the garden—desert cousin’s expecting, I gather. #GambrelQuail #WhyILoveWhereILive

Luckily this organ grinder has agreed to do it for $100 and a permanent installation in front of the WH.
