We had a snap count of 1,100, but that missed many who came late or left early. Not to mention the hundreds in cars who honked their support. Our local Resistance Singers provided entertainment and spirit. #NoKings #StevensPoint
There are large sidewalks on the north side of Hwy 54 and the pastor at St. Bronislava has reportedly approved use of the large parking lot. He asks that we not protest in front of the church.

Nobody wants a bad COVID or flu season in their community! Why do we limit access to safe vaccines when we can keep our communities healthier? Ask: "Who benefits from the anxiety and fear by pushing pseudoscience?" Affordable, easy to find vaccines benefit everyone. #TruthBrigade
Coming soon. Let's work together and make this work.
Our friends in Rapids Response did a great job last night. Since the Van Orden event was at a private site, they organized on three different places, hitting both entrances and a nearby busy intersection. Not sure who organized the truck with the Van Orden display, but it was very popular.
This is organized by people in Rapids, so follow their instructions, as they have made arrangements for everyone's safety.
The voters of Portage County have passed two referendums (2018 and 2022) to save and rebuild the Portage County Health Care Center (PCHCC). In spite of strong public support, the County Board of Supervisors continues with their plan to sell the facility.
August 28 is the Derrick Van Orden protest (see below). Be prepared to walk a distance as parking maybe a problem. There is street parking around Walmart and Kwik Trip and street parking in the 20th street area and the Ridges subdivision.
This is what Trump's cuts are doing. Planned and curated failure of our healthcare system. Who will benefit from this?
In America, speaking freely is a bedrock right that matters deeply to us all. When politicians vilify people who stand up for their beliefs, is this about safety...or control? You don’t defend democracy by silencing it. Speak up! #TruthBrigade truthbrigade.indivisible.org/s/5tPOOvv3
