We’re heartbroken to learn about the deaths of more US servicemembers. This illegal war never should have started. Our Members of Congress must reject more funding for Trump’s war of choice—use this form to demand they hold the line for not another dime. act.indivisible.org/sign/no-iran...

Santa Barbara turned out on a warm summer day to celebrate the life and legacy of John Lewis. We remember John Lewis by fighting for the causes he held dear: civil rights, voting rights, and human rights. Thanks to all who attended and honked their support! #indivisible #goodtrouble
Please join us! More information here: www.mobilize.us/john-lewis-a...
July 4, 2026: Indivisible Santa Barbara took to the streets to demonstrate the meaning of our Declaration of Independence: equality, freedom and liberation from tyrants, no matter if those tyrants presume to rule from a palace in London or a ballroom in Washington, DC.
Indivisible Santa Barbara spent the morning of July 4 demonstrating some of what's best in America: free speech, free assembly, and resistance to tyranny and autocracy. Happy Birthday USA!
This Sat. July 4 join us on Upper State St. (near Whole Foods) at 10 am to demonstrate what set American apart from the outset: free speech, free assembly and resistance to autocratic rule. Bring your American flags and posters declaring YOUR independence from Trump's narcissism, greed and idiocracy
Our Sheriff Brown works with ICE. Tomorrow (6/23), tell him to stop. The occasion? Each year, the Sheriff’s office must appear in a TRUTH Act Forum to list each time he turned folks in his custody over to ICE, for detention and deportation. OUR Sheriff cooperates with ICE every time the law allows.
Tuesday June 23: Santa Barbara County's annual TRUTH Act Forum begins at 2 pm. This is when our Sheriff must document his voluntary cooperation with ICE, and we can tell him in large numbers that this must stop. Attend in Santa Maria, Santa Barbara or on Zoom. SAVE THE DATE, details to follow.
Fri 6/19: JUNETEENTH in Santa Barbara! Celebrate Black Independence Day with food, music, art and more. Join us at Plaza Del Mar Park in Santa Barbara (on Cabrillo near SB City College) from 11-6 on the 19th. Sat June 20: weekly Saturday morning protest 10 a.m. on Upper State Street and Hitchcock.
We have IMPORTANT EVENTS coming up: Mon 6/15 6 pm: TRUTH Act Forum teach-out on Zoom. Learn how SB County Sheriff Brown collaborates with ICE by voluntarily transferring folks in his custody for deportation. Register for teach-out here: bit.ly/Teach61526 (In Spanish 6/18: bit.ly/Seminario61826)
THERE IS NO "NO KINGS" PROTEST IN SANTA BARBARA ON JUNE 14. PLEASE SPREAD THE WORD. Unfortunately, people NOT associated with Indivisible are sharing information about a supposed Indivisible-sponsored rally and protest on June 14. This information is false.
There are reports that Trump Cabinet members are in SB today (6/5) to discuss Sable Oil. Several orgs quickly put together a protest for 5:30 this afternoon. If you can, meet at the CEC Hub located at: 1219 State Street, Santa Barbara. The organizers ask that you wear RED if you can.
Overpass protest Monday May 18, 5 pm, organized by our friends at SB Resiste. Be there if you can!
Indivisible Santa Barbara endorses Laura Capps for County Supervisor. She has been our group's closest ally on the Board, and has led the fight on the County level to protect our immigrant communities against assault by Trump and MAGA. She deserves your vote in the upcoming June primary.
Our friends at the Restorative Justice Education Project need your help to keep providing critical services to our community. Please give if you can.
Santa Barbara NEEDS a strong County Clerk to safeguard our elections from Trump and MAGA. The incumbent Clerk does not believe there IS a threat. We need a new, energetic County Clerk to protect our democracy, and we believe Melinda Greene is up to the job. Vote for Melinda in the June 2 primary.
Join us on Friday, May 1st, at De La Guerra Plaza at 2 pm for a protest in support of our local "Matriarchal May Day". NO WORK, NO SCHOOL and NO SHOPPING* tomorrow as we flex our economic muscles. May 1st is May Day and we’re calling on folks to make their economic power known.
We the people must use our power to stop the construction of ICE detention centers locally and all over the U.S. Call your Senators and House Rep and let them know we do not want our tax dollars used to fund more ICE prisons or more anything at all for ICE. Capitol switchboard: 202-224-3121.
Protest Saturday April 25: DISMANTLE ICE DETENTION! The Trump administration is converting warehouses across the country into mass immigration detention facilities. WE WILL NOT LET THIS HAPPEN. Join us this Sat 4/25 10 am on the sidewalks on both sides of State St near Hitchcock in Santa Barbara.
The Trump administration is expanding the detention of human beings at a scale that’s hard to comprehend. They are buying up warehouses, reopening shuttered facilities, and funneling billions of dollars into a mass detention infrastructure. We need people power to fight against the inhumane, cruel
ALERT: tomorrow (April 17): SAVE $$, DEMAND REDUCTION IN COUNTY JAIL EXPANSION. SB County Board of Supervisors may decide the issue of County Jail expansion at a meeting TOMORROW. We need you if possible to attend this meeting and give public comment: limit jail expansion to just 1.0 housing units
Hope and courage are contagious! Yesterday, the Hungarian people ousted Viktor Orban after 16 years of authoritarian rule. A quote from journalist Alex Wagner: "Thinking about all the activists and organizers and journalists I spoke to in Hungary this time last year -- people who had been living
Tell congress to Stop the War in Iran. With Trump's threat of a ground invasion in Iran, the lives of thousands of US service members and civilians (including children!) across the Middle East are at risk. Please call or email your senators and house rep today.
