Came across this picture today, Dick Lugar was a genuinely nice guy. I think he was in the office for something and one of our media staff was hanging out and snapped it. I wasn’t dressed up so it must have been just a typical work day.

Son’s family is going to Diamond Crater park in Arkansas today. I went several years ago and spent a couple days digging for diamonds. The guy next to us found this one, over a carat. He had spent the last 3 months digging every day and this his first significant find. We didn’t find any :( #rocks

Yay….we’re getting a cell tower!! I actually still have a land line at the cabin because voice calls are impossible.
The heart rock my grandkids dug out of the creek for me this past weekend.
The hosta has survived attack so far. My improvised lazer field of monofilament line around garden stakes works most of the time. The deer get creeped out by the nearly invisible lines crisscrossing.
