She played 4 characters over a decade, but this is by far the best Carolyn Seymour role in Trek.
#TrekADay First Contact... not that one. For a gimmick episode (basically, the UFO scare where it's humans buzzing aliens and told almost entirely from their POV) it's surprisingly important to the franchise, setting out all the rules for... well, First Contact.
A Toku show that gives its women characters awesome shit with no need for caveats. See, Zeztz, it can be done!

His season 2 episode I had to switch to the Spanish blu, and for some reason it's the second Spanish blu ray on this rewatch that didn't work on the bedroom player but did in the living room. Not going to judge what it might be about considering Cigarette Burns wasn't literally about cigarettes.
This week's John Carpenter is a double bill of his Masters of Horror episodes, starting with almost a sequel to In The Mouth of Madness, about a film that sends you mad if you see it. Not a hugely famous cast (at the time, Norman Reedus went on to bigger things), but spotted B'Etor in the credits.

They're trying very hard to hide McFadden's pregnancy but, boy is she glowing.
The central premise of "What happened in the 30 seconds everyone was passed out and what dodgy shit was Data up to? is a bit too soon after Brothers, really.
Next up is Clues, an episode where the internal logic is also a bit crap, but it's a lot more fun. Starting with the last time the show did Dixon Hill, largely for a very indulgent but very funny Guinan bit.
The amount of effort put into reconciling the Klingon devil with a line in the original series that Klingons have no devil.
Ardra (who was a guy in the Phase II version) is also just straight up written as "Q but we outright say she wants to fuck Picard" and is very boring.
#TrekADay double bill! Starting with Devil's Due, the other Phase II script put into production, and one that doesn't really working because a shyster faking Q like powers is pretty pointless when you've got Q. Hilariously silly opening Scrooge scene though. In an episode that aired in February.

I'm not sure what's funnier, them flat out saying it's Jugglus Juggler this early, or Haruki not noticing his boss' hair changing, or that he has superhuman strength and teleportation powers.
