Ink, Coffee, and Regrets
@inkcoffeeregrets
A podcast for the curious, candid, and creatively unhinged. Writing, reading, world-building, & the weird emotional terrain between author and audience—with sardonic wit, philosophical detours, and no patience for genre clichés.
Forgot to share this. Came home from work yesterday (Yes, Saturday work… I’m union and I’ll jump all over OT what offered!) and my wife and son had a surprise for me.
Thank you very much for the response, WL. I appreciate it. I am going to cheat, in my reply, since we are so limited to the space to type. And include a screenshot of my response. :-) I hope that does not rub anyone the wrong way. ;-)
Found a great Google Docs plugin called Word Counter Max. It lets you set both a document word goal and a daily writing target. Perfect if you draft chapters separately and aim for something like 8,000 words total and 2,000 words a day. #WritingTools #inkcoffeeandregrets #writersofkern #newauthor
This will be the topic of my next Book Talk episode on August 15th. A book by Larry Hanson #larryhanson #creagerseries #indibooks #writersofkern
I think I found a happy mid-point for the use of AI. I started going through the many tens of thousands of photographs I have taken over the years and used Leonardo to make them match what I need. This way I am still using my own work, but using the AI to adjust it better than I could.
Nothing wrong with short. I’m 6”1’ and my wife is 4”3’. Our son is somewhere in the middle, rapidly catching up with me. In the only one allowed to make fun of her height though. 🤣🤣🤣
It does not look like I posted this... so... If you are in Bakersfield, Ca. on May 9th and have nothing better to do or places to be, come see me and many others at the Writer's of Kern's, Writer's Row at Russo's Books #writersofkern #writersrowbakersfield2026 #writersrowbakersfield #russosbooks
At the Bakersfield Marathon today cheering on my 15 year old son. He’s running a half marathon today. (Far left on picture.)
My wife started buying those for me, and they are, most certainly, addictive. I have three. One is done and the others... I am forcing myself to take it slow, or I will have them knocked out in no time.
Always interesting to see what is trending on BSKY... but "General Hospital"? Really? The last time I watched that show was the year Reagan was shot... I remember they interrupted the show.
