When governor DeSantis removed the rainbow sidewalks, starting with outside Pulse, the owner of Se7en Bites, used the 49 spaces in her parking lot to make an artistic memorial.

Reading the names of the 49 at the Baquiné para los Ángeles. In the 10 years since a gunman opened fire at the Pulse Nightclub, we have tried to remember and honor. We have so far to go.

Last night, we honored the victims, survivors, and families of the Pulse nightclub shooting in Orlando (10 years ago today). The Baquiné para los Ángeles is an Afro-Puerto Rican tradition for when a child dies. It is more festive than a traditional funeral, and is fitting for the Latino community.
