I hang it on a thumbtack (the kind that sticks out like a peg) or a nail. Pic of some cords as an example. Lots of holes in wall, but it works and I don't go crazy! The rubber band sticks enough that they don't slip and uncurl. Hair ties also work for this if you want to color code them the same.

Couldn't decide which shot I liked best, so uploaded all 4. My sweaters take so long that the manufacturers often discontinue the yarn before I finish. That was true with BOTH the yarns I held together on this Diona Tee! But I found more, so the sleeves continue to get longer. Same cables on back.

@knitsky I have a FO! needs buttons stitched on at waistband. Pattern: Maiija Crossover on Rav. I paired a fingering wt merino-silk w/ a mohair. Size 10 US needles. De Rerum Natura is lovely yarn. In Oursin. Had yarn 🐓 as it was sold out nearly worldwide! I may have bought the last ones! Sweating!😅

#showmeyourknits Cowls week! I have made so many cowls. Many were gifted. The most difficult was the doubleknit Om Shanti cowl by Owlcat Designs. I lost the first one, so I made another, but it was really a slog! Mistakes were made. I went down a needle 2/3 of the way up and it was perfect.

The blue side of the Om Shanti cowl. Made with Madelinetosh Pashmina in Baroque Violet and Grasshopper, until I ran out of the violet and used Ella Rae something in Ocean. It helped tighten up the top, which made it perfect around the neck. This the old cowl that I lost.

This is the reverse Grasshopper side of the Om Shanti cowl. The swahili text is in reverse colors since it's doubleknit, but it's not backwards, because it's complicated! It's not a mirror image like most doubleknits. I do miss this cowl very much, and I made another, but I don't like the colors I chose for the new one :(

#showmeyourknits cables week ~ you got it. This was designed as a tee, but I doubled up on the yarn and it's going to be a sweater. The sleeves are longer now, halfway to the elbow, just no new photo. It's the Diona Tee by Sari Nordlund. And yes, there are mistakes in there! But who could tell??

A purple 2x1 ribbed tee with a mock neck and an intricate cable panel taking up the center portion of the front. The sleeves are on stitch holders. They are raglan style and also knit in 2x1 rib.

Here's a mid-project sneak peek of my progress on Annabelle Cardigan (not my pattern). I want about another 8-10 cm for the sleeves, and then I leave the armpit holes and continue the bottom-up raglan yoke. Anyone have any tips? Never done this type of sweater before. #knitsky

Two colorwork sleeves in progress, variegated blues and teals on a maroon background in a graphic flower motif.

The knitter is modeling the lower half of the cardigan, like a tube, and also has the patially-constructed sleeves on her arms to just above the elbows. The uncut steek is shown in the center. It looks tight, but the sweater is actually 56 inches around and after completed will have a button band added. Maker is a size 24 US with a 46" waist.

This is the same try-on photo but from an angle that shows the side of the sweater without the steek centerline.

Not a knit this time! Just a simple knob cover for my teakettle lid, which gets really hot! (Looks like I might have missed a tiny spot. It'll be okay.) This is Madelinetosh Vintage in Brick Dust.

The turtleneck is in the snow on the pine boards, but the bottom parts of the arms have been folded in different directions to reveal snow sticking to the back of it, posed like a person with hand on hip and waving to a friend.

The model is the knitter, standing on a dusty clearing next to a tree and looking out at the bay of Green Bay. It is mostly ice at that time of year, January.

Honestly, not the best things I've ever made, but I've got that "both socks done" feeling and I like it. Adjustments were made for ankle and leg swelling.

So, I can do brights instead of white for #showmeyourknits white & bright week? I have no whites (except for a crochet square)! But bright, I have. I call this my "WildaBeast" cowl, though it's officially an Inspira Cowl with a lining. My winter storm protection cowl. It stands up!

The reverse lining of the cowl is on the outside, which is a single skein of Louise Harding Amitola, I think in Hummingbird. It's a rainbow of bright stripes of hot pink, hot red, fuchsia, lavender, ice blues, royal blue, and plum.

I would like the bounded area to be the worked heel, and the angle of the worked vertical ribbing to start higher. There's too much of it in the low heel section.

I think I have a foot-shape problem- a ton of ankle edema- and that's causing some issue. The glass I tucked inside this sock shows what the issue might be, just a fat heel that sucks all the height out of the flap. I also think this is a weird flap (5 st in the center, d/c back and forth.)

Okay, truly, this was terrifying by every step. I ate so much junk stress eating while making this! My brother wanted this for Christmas so I had to! Madison-makes.com, Flyaway Cross Body Bag. #sewing

A crossbody bag in the style of a pigeon. It's quilt-pieced out of cotton solids (except for one piece of purple print around its neck), with gray body, teal and blue and gray head, black and white beak, and white wing with two black stripes going shortways. The eye is a yellow iris around a black pupil, all crocheted in a circle and stitched on. The bag has a gray webbing strap, by which the bag is hanging on the bar of a stashed ironing board resting up right against the wall.

It fits, and I guess that's a win. The full-length ribbing helped it get around my XXW forefoot, and while I'm not a fan of the heel flap/cup style, it worked OK. I added 4 areas of pattern increases. Created a ripple at the top for ease, using 3:1 YOs before 2 more rounds and a regular bindoff. 🧶

The model has her foot resting on the doorjamb of her small workroom, which is wallpapered with pages from The Hobbit. One of the drawings from the illustrated paperback version of Beorn's Hall. The sock is variegated with pinks, greens, and blues.

A self-striping yarn has been knit into a sock, almost finished, lying on a black computer keyboard backlit with teal blue light. The sock is knitted toe-up and is mostly knitted with ribbing, starting just above the toe. The colors are light pink, navy blue, lime green. At the ankle, some increases have been worked in to accommodate some cankles.
