Yep! And even more intriguing is the fact that the Moon's design was decided pretty much in later phases of development, as beta screenshots and ads show a faceless moon. They really felt the need to add a creepy face to remind players of the impending doom, haha
I have the feeling that Imamura likes to add bizarre things to some of the titles he worked on, haha. I mean, there are creepy asteroids with faces in Star Fox, and I'm sure the moon from Majora was inspired by the look of them.
I saw The Backrooms, and wow, that was really intense! Definitely scary and those corridors are full of tension. And I really liked the themes and meaning of the story and how they relate with the backrooms themselves.
