I may be invisible, but you're transparent.

Nerdy, blerdy student of society (for better or worse). Lover of comics and cardigans and the occasional cocktail. Watch this corner of sky. Some of my self published work here:
One X-Men 97 "no prize" (as Jim Lee used to call em), is that a power inhibitor collar on Chamber, whos mutant power is bursting out of his body due to an accident, would kill him...and look pretty nasty to boot. Still, a neat cameo.
There are a few Republicans who are reading far enough ahead (too late) but ...Mr. Martin is entirely right. Republicans thought they had absolute power and did everything possible to hurt people. We can do the opposite and they have an evaporating ground to say otherwise.
Couldn't really explain why if I wanted to haha.
Northstar- he's a queer, prickly, confident, capable and slightly unflappable french canadian mutant, and there have been a few rare moments where he really shines (the X-Factor team he led during Krakoa as an example).
Also a very cool looking Captain Marvel, which I'll never complain about:
One of the things I genuinely love about the Krakoan era of the X-Men line is that it was a celebration of mutant (aka stand in "minority") culture/nation state and also felt very queer in its leaning into couture and galas and state dinners and statecraft. Also Russel Dauterman is a genius.
The topic of the conversation is why I should find this language acceptable and why you think my challenging it is somehow anything other than rejecting racism:
One of the smartest concepts of the #X-men during the House of X/Krakoan age is that the entire mutant nation telepathically elected X-Men to represent them to the larger world. It's such a neat concept I wish it carried forward.
Racism wasn't a deal breaker for them a year ago. It wasn't during his campaign, which was easily the most openly racist I've ever seen. 2024's presidential campaign took the fearmongering of Willie Horton and added white nationalist menace and people actively chose to ignore it.
We all have an emotional support dead famous guy and who he is says a lot about you.
It is expressly an American experience to be spoken down to by a presidential hopeful you invited as a Black voter, and as a black child in America as a "taker".
His tone and messaging was archly racist and condescending and I will never forget how hurt and insulted the Black voters that came to hear him speak, looked that evening.
He came to their space and to their faces said they just want "free stuff".
#NuffsaidNovemberChallenge Day 11- Masters of Evil- Big name villains brought together for the love of the game: 1.) Kang the Conqueror 2.) the Enchantress 3.)Moonstone 4.) Nimrod 5.) M.O.D.O.K 6.) the Absorbing Man 7.) Blackheart 8.) Baron Zemo
Also it was remiss of me to not include Quasar's wife Moondragon.
The jury at the sandwich hero trial:
This directly out of the WH for a campaign contributor was an absolute embarrassment and a precursor of the open crypto bribing happening now.
Post something random or you'll have an awful October!
This reality? Cultists have some nerve.
Surviving and outsmarting a possibly evil science corp seems to do wonders for teenage self esteem.
