My (now retired) hair stylist George worked at a salon in trump tower in the early 90s. He would occasionally get called up to the office to give trump an emergency trim - only the back! George reported trump cut the extra long pieces used in the “swirl around & over” styling himself. Ranch
TW: graphic photo of monster This is Greg on his ladder. We used it to rescue him from the roof when he was smol. When we put it away, he yelled until we put it back. Now it is a permanent landscape feature.
For years, I thought I made up coolth. According to @merriam-webster.com, it's an actual word.
I just returned from college orientation w/twin #1, at a TX state university. I found a thing in the music bldg that reassured me a bit that Abbott & his goons haven't fully wiped out DEI initiatives at our universities. It's a small thing but it's still standing.
Seeing Stephen's comments reminded me to order my future favorite t-shirt
I used "coolth" for years (antonym for warmth). It just felt like it should be a word. My kids told me to stop trying to make coolth a thing. Then I looked it up & guess what? It's a word! So take that my smug Zoomer children. Behold my coolth.
When she learned that term, our obligate carnivore Daffodil was concerned we might not understand that cheese is meat. Especially finally shredded sharp cheddar. She talked about it for days.
I would never put ketchup on a hot dog but I love this stuff. And I think the brand name is hilarious.
Bluecoats 2023 in silky flowered pajamas definitely in my top 5
The Brazos river, in Palo Pinto Co TX. Forms eastern boundary of our ranch & has been the family swimming hole for over 80 years
I got this tiny shopping cart ornament today. The wheels work! As an HEB superfan, I am experiencing child-like joy. I'm using it to hold Splenda packets so I can keep it out all year 🤗
I purchased a bag of 25 nutmegs, all dressed up in fancy mace jackets, 20 years ago in Grenada. The mace has faded & broken (& I've never made anything w/mace). I have 4 or 5 partially grated, the rest still intact. I'm 64 now & assume one of my kids will inherit the remaining nutmeg bounty 😂
I have one of those. He comes when called. He also rolls over on command IF he's already lying down. If you make sustained eye contact with him and do jazz hands, he'll rattle the tip of his tail. He's a gift from the distribution system and his name is Greg.
Great turnout in Arlington TX for #NoKings today. I wore my new octopus suit. Lots of good signs!
My 84 yo mom used the phrase "hooking up" yesterday & it kind of rattled me. She was referring to 1/2 feral kitties she was trying to get in live traps to take for spay/neuter but still...😂
