Almost all europeans consider that halting the loss of biodiversity is important because: 1. We have a responsibility to look after nature (96%) 2. Our health and well-being are based upon nature and biodiversity (95%) 3. Biodiversity and healthy nature are important for our long-term economic development (94%) 4. Looking after nature is essential in tackling climate change (94%) 5. Biodiversity is indispensable for the production of goods such as food, materials and medicines (93%)

What the EU should do to protect biodiversity: 1. Restore nature and biodiversity to repair the damage caused by huan activities. 2. Ensure that biodiversity concerns are taken into account when planning new infrastructure investments. 3. Better inform citizens about the importance of biodiversity. 4. Better implement exixsting nature and biodiversity conservation rules. Expand the areas where nature is protected.
