From LA County Vector Control's "What's the Buzz?" Newsletter. Watch out for mosquitoes. Don't let them breed.
This is what it looks like to me. If I click on the text at the bottom the alt text pops up.
Found it! It was Robin Wright (looking like a baby!) Not a great picture but you get the idea.
Tool our youngest to the new pet store The Boxer on Glendale Bl. They don't have a BlueSky but their website is theboxer.dog. Adorable shop and our little pup loves her new toy!
Stay safe, Acton. My thoughts are with those evacuated and those under warning.
So, all my life I have seen people driving around in decommissioned police cars or mail trucks, but this is a new one on me.
Trees are complicated. They're self-repairing shade, beautification, and habitat all in one, but they have an unpredictable impact on infrastructure that can make places inaccessible in ways that are very costly to fix. Consider this former bus stop in Boyle Heights:
Here's what it looks like on my work computer. I don't see this on any other websites. Chrome updated on Monday and doesn't show an update available.
Like, here's Houston, TX. Orange are Level 3, green are Level 2. See where it says "zoom in to see more"? And because my car doesn't use NACS (Tesla) chargers, they're not even shown. Your impression of the infrastructure is several years old. It's time to update it.
Meanwhile LA Metro is just going with the connotations (out of stock, sadly, which is weird because they do instant printing)...
My doggie has had some weird pain thing going on that has convinced her she shouldn't sleep. She's been refusing to lie down or even sit down most of the day, literally falling asleep on her feet. Finally got her to rest. Yay puppy snores!
I feel sorry for the large piece of styrofoam. I was actually rooting for it.
While Angelenos cower from the apocalyptic storm, the Paayme Paxaayt (AKA the Porciúncula and now the Los Angeles River) is fat and happy. I got very invested in the struggle of one piece of flotsam to free itself from a storm drain (in comments).
