PRO review from last week: www.youtube.com/watch?v=-5-P... VAR recommended a penalty for Ovalle taking Carabali down in the box during a corner. Ref Cristian Campo Hernandez reviewed and decided against it bc he thought Carabali was also holding onto Ovalle. (1/2)
Ref Matthew Corrigan on the Caño/Hocking situation: "The challenge was committed in a careless manner and did not rise to the level of a caution. The step onto the hair was deemed accidental."
This is the best thing I've ever seen. Game ended with a 1-1 tie. The 3 elites were URI woso players
Josefine Hasbo is unavailable today due to a lower leg injury but she at least participated in warm ups with the players (no shooting or set pieces).
Boston Legacy out for warm ups ahead of tonight’s KC Current match in Pawtucket, Rhode Island
Apparently Boston Legacy's halftime show tomorrow will include 300 youth players battling it out with 3 elites and I absolutely cannot wait to witness this.
Aïssata Traoré is headed to her 2nd WAFCON (finished 4th in 2018). Mali's campaign begins on Wednesday, July 29. Group Stage: vs Cameroon - Wednesday, July 29 vs Cape Verde - Sunday, August 2 vs Ghana - Thursday, August 6
Pool report on Prince no call @ 66': Ref "determined contact was normal soccer contact. Both players moved into the same space while challenging for the ball, resulting in side-by-side contact. In ref’s opinion, the challenge was fair & did not constitute a foul; therefore, no penalty was awarded."
Is it still called donuts if it's on water? Don't know what's going on out there, but this is not part of the Boston Legacy/Washington Spirit halftime show (which is a guy balancing objects on his chin)
Boston Legacy out for warm ups ahead of its match against the Washington Spirit in Rhode Island
Kaká is still on the injury list, but looking like she’s day-to-day. She was just out on the field for a few minutes.
As expected, Aïssata Traoré has been called up to represent Mali at WAFCON. Mali will face Cape Verde, Cameroon, and Ghana in the group stage. Opening match for the Lady Eagles will be on Wednesday, July 29 against Cameroon.
Lots has changed in the last two months… Boston Legacy’s starting XI for today vs from its last game against Orlando Pride
Me bc Julian Alvarez is the only player I care for on this team
No one was harmed but now there’s a bunch of smoke on the pitch to start the second half
Boston Legacy giving me my second NWSL fireworks show in a week (these were from a safe distance)
WAFCON will commence at the end of this month. Mali will face Cameroon, Cape Verde, and Ghana in the group stage. Roster hasn’t come out yet, but Aïssata Traoré will likely be called up.
Double rainbow ahead of Boston Legacy FC’s match against Chicago Stars tonight 🌈 Good omen?
Back in Boston and I did not expect to see Manchester City advertisements for its players lol
