I think the idea of these are great. There must be models that fit e-bikes and cargo bikes and bikes with racks and baskets. Honestly I’d be happy with a cage in the parkade at this point. Except things get so filthy in parkades 😩. But many of the bike room bikes are FILTHY 😂

Running (walking/biking) in this smoke without an N95 mask is not a good idea. Vflex are particularly comfortable and breathable but others are fine. It’s amazing how much more comfortable you feel breathing. I didn’t want to exercise this 2024 day. The smoke came when I was out. 😵‍💫

I grew this Asclepias tuberosa from seed. Over a few years i cultivated 24 plants in the dark in the fridge starting in January. I last grew them 2 years ago. Only three survived to now. I love them.

We sure do!! I was just out visiting the plants. Every one has a story. When I planted it. Who gave it to me. The asparagus was grown from seed by my friend. It was an experiment. She also gave me these tiny wild strawberries. They are spreading far now all through the mulch.

Asparagus is magical. The plants have teeny weeny flowers (that turn into an edible red seeds). They hang like a bell. Bumblebees LOVE them. They can buzz pollinate (vibrate) the pollen out onto their bodies. Huge bumbles shaking these teeny flowers is wondrous. The asparagus is taller than me 😍🐝

Calgary has so many too. All along the rivers and through the inner city. But many more are needed for how mobility and active transportation are changing. I feel so happy on our pathway system and I can go many places with minimal roads.

It’s 14 degrees C in Calgary right now. Thousands of honeybees are buzzing around my yard and past my windows. They are enjoying the opportunity to clean the hive, throw out dead bees, and have a 💩. Healthy bees will not 💩 inside the hive. It’s a highly antiseptic environment. 1/

This is amazing!! Here are some of the beauties I’ve been hanging out with. This queen was beautiful. I don’t care about the honey. It’s too sticky 😂. I don’t really extract. I just love sitting there watching them do their thing and bringing is so many colours of pollen. And the silly drones🥹
