I haven’t eaten at a TGI Friday’s in years, but when on layover at ATL, it’s nice to sit down and eat. Thai Mango salad with potstickers is surprisingly light and refreshing!
Had a great walk on the beach today. Saw a heron and a pelican. Last day of 52.
Without saying your age, what’s your favorite movie that came out when you were 18.
While I appreciate the Terminal D renovation/expansion in Atlanta, the net effect is a cold and sterile place devoid of color.
Flying from MEM through ATL to PNS this morning. At an airport Chili’s for breakfast. The woman at the table in front of me has not stopped talking for 20 minutes. Hoping she’s not on my flight.
Today is @officialmelbrooks.bsky.social 100th birthday. I wish I could tell him how much my late husband loved his humor. Scott’s favorite movies were Blazing Saddles and Young Frankenstein. The last thing he watched was the documentary the night before he died. Thank you so much, sir!
Another departure from MCO. Looking forward to coming back here for a full week in September, my first full week (Saturday to Saturday) at the Vacation Kingdom in years. See ya real soon!
Only rode Star Tours once on this visit, mainly because I was prioritizing Millennium Falcon and Rock ‘n’ Roller coaster. Saw @joelozano.bsky.social but he was working and I didn’t want to be that “Hey I follow you on Bluesky” guy. Hope your shift went well.
Riding the Twilight Zone: Tower of Terror on the anniversary of Rod Serling’s death seems to be tempting fate a little.
Imagineering did a great job plussing this courtyard. So happy the Animation experience will be opening back up soon.
Obligatory photo of me with blue milk. Really tasty and refreshing on a scorcher of a day. Bright Suns indeed!
Rode the Falcon one more time, and completed the trifecta with Endor. Got to pilot this time, so definitely had more fun (helps to have a good co-pilot with you). Looking forward to riding this again in September with friends!
Roast Shaak with Kublag Mash from Docking Bay 7 in Batuu. Second best food in this sector. Best being on Pandora at Satuli Canteen, but I didn’t make it there this trip.
Back at Kona Cafe for breakfast this time. Loco Moco and a bowl of fruit so fresh you want to slap it.
Good night from Magic Kingdom! A new day awaits tomorrow before flying home.
Managed to get a ride in on Big Thunder at the end of the evening, as it had been closed most of the time I was there due to lightning. Like the upgrades and the smoother track. I’ve missed this.
I was pleasantly surprised they had “Happily Ever After” tonight given the rain and thunder. I love this show. Go the Distance followed by the reprise of the title song always makes me tear up.
Cream cheese stuffed pretzel. My contender for best snack in the park. Absolutely love these!
Pirates of the Caribbean is another must do. I was distracted by the guy two rows up filming with his flash on, which is why you can see the skeleton steering the pirate ship in the first photo. I’m in the back row.
