Kier Starmer is peeved. Not quite the expression of outrage and horror that ordinary right-thinking people capable of reason and empathy will feel at the atrocities being carried out in the name of Trump/Netanyahu and Putin, but better than nothing, I suppose.
A military campaign imbued with ‘Christian’ nationalism, a wannabe theocracy trying to overthrow an actual theocracy. Yesterday at the WH, evangelical pastors gathered around the Resolute Desk in the Oval Office, laid hands on Donald Trump and prayed for the president’s victory. OMG.
Had a powercut in Fermo right at the start of the match and it was restored just in time for me to see their celebration. I was spared the stress of it all. Hurrah!
