Happily busy with work, gardening, dogs. Especially dogs. Post mostly about The Archers. Or dogs. Or complete nonsense. Repost implies nowt.
I love this photo. The bee on the left seems to be embracing the flower head ❤️
The contented face of a small dog who has had a lovely woodland walk, breakfast, play, treats, and is now resting 🥰
Good morning! Home today. Devon has been lovely (apart from the ticks 😳). Lots of cows ❤️ and some lovely walks. This guy decided to walk purposefully *at* the car at one point. I won’t lie, I was worried, but he decided it was ok and walked on by.
We have been watching the swallows(?) feed their young. In, out, swooping, changing the angle of approach. They must be exhausted.
Ooh, I hope you don’t mind me asking if you can identify this - found in my garden.
Postscript: I decided to sit in the garden and just ‘be’. The breeze is soothing, my Acer is gorgeous, and my mood is lifted by birdsong. Much better!
I decided! This one. In my excitement I missed that blue packaging strip and wondered why the thread wouldn’t thread properly 🫢 It seems good so far and I’m going to have a lot of fun practicing today… 🎉
When it works (which it did well until recently) it’s like a magic thing. But I think the sensor is broken.
Maisie dog has been out for a solo wander. Thank goodness for local WhatsApp groups and brilliant neighbours, who found, caught, and looked after her 🤩🤩🤩 We need a self-close on the garden gate, methinks!
This poor hellebore was huge, but looked dead yesterday when I dug it up. Completely floppy, many brown leaves - no idea why. I noticed these leaves still looked vaguely ok, so trimmed it, stuck the roots in a tub of water for a while, and popped it in a pot 🤞 I do love reviving sad plants ❤️
I’m very late, despite being up early. I’ve got loads done already. Very much an odd job day today, after a mammoth carpet cleaning day yesterday. I love the Merlin app. These are a few of the birds I recorded on Sunday.
Gorgeous bird song on our walk today. Even a cuckoo. And (I couldn’t photograph them because we didn’t want to alert Tillie) we were being watched by a group of about eight roe deer, who were feeding in the woodland about 5m away. 🥰
I have just discovered that ‘exploding’ shower screens are a thing 😱 Awoken by a loud bang and OH went to investigate… Two years old, barely used, in perfect condition until today!
Best in Show from the terrier group we have Maisie Muppet Escape-Artist Blends-Into-Any-Background the First ❤️ who sends you a big hug and all paws crossed for a clear test.
There’s nothing quite as satisfying as the sound of sharp shears on fabric ❤️ I’ve had this one hanging around since my ‘Covid lockdown/broken pelvis’ phase of creativity and it’s particularly good to be putting it to good use at last.
I got Wordle in 2 (rare for me!) so I looked at the Wordle bot - posted below. Stats are only ever worthwhile if they give you data you can use and this absolutely doesn’t. What the heck did other people do ‘better’? ⬜⬜⬜⬜🟩 🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩
Awful photo as there’s no way I’m going outside, but this is just one of a number of gorgeous ice patterns on our patio stones. Note to self: buy rock salt 😱
