Someone asked me if I thought Canadian membership of the EU was practical. I came across this map today. If it is in Canada’s best interest, I don’t see why not. The two are not even that geographically separated. They can always change their minds. They are both liberal democracies.
‘Taken off the air’ for expressing opinions the government doesn’t like is bad but, as V for Vendetta reminds us, retribution can come in many far worse ways. Perhaps getting out now, while he can, might turn out to be the safer option.

I don’t recall noticing that we have two party politics anywhere in Britain outside of England. Perhaps he is a recent arrival to these fair shores and is simply slow to assimilate to our varied ways.
